A Warm Welcome in Hanoi

Arriving in Hanoi, I was greeted by the bustling energy of Vietnam’s capital. The Old Quarter, with its narrow streets and vibrant atmosphere, was the perfect introduction to the country’s rich culture. My journey began with a warm welcome from the tour team, who made sure I was settled into my accommodation. The personal touch of being met at the airport and escorted to my hotel set the tone for the rest of the trip. I spent my days wandering through the lantern-lit streets, visiting the My Son Sanctuary, and taking a relaxing boat trip on the Thu Bon River. The leisurely pace of Hoi An was a welcome change, allowing me to soak in the beauty of this UNESCO World Heritage site.

From the Mekong Delta to the Temples of Angkor Wat

The adventure continued in Ho Chi Minh City, where I explored the vibrant Mekong Delta. The boat rides through the delta’s waterways, visits to local villages, and tasting of fresh coconut candy were highlights of this leg of the journey. The Mekong Delta offered a glimpse into the rural life of Vietnam, with its lush landscapes and friendly locals.

Crossing into Cambodia, I was captivated by the history and culture of Phnom Penh and Siem Reap. The visit to the Killing Fields and the Tuol Sleng Prison Museum was a sobering reminder of Cambodia’s past, while the bustling Russian Market offered a lively contrast. The grand finale of the tour was the exploration of the magnificent Angkor Wat. Walking through the ancient temples, I was in awe of the architectural wonders and the stories they held.

This two-week journey through Vietnam and Cambodia was an unforgettable experience, filled with cultural discoveries and breathtaking landscapes. The tour’s seamless organization and the personal touches from the team made it a truly exceptional adventure.
