Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum - After breakfast, meet your guide for a full-day tour of Hanoi, the elegant and historic capital of Vietnam.
The tour begins at the Ho Chi Minh Complex, starting with the Mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh, located at Ba Dinh Square – the final resting place of Vietnam’s beloved leader. (Note: The mausoleum is open Tuesday to Thursday and weekends from 08:00 to 11:00.)
Next, visit the Presidential Palace and Ho Chi Minh’s stilt house, a modest wooden residence built as a birthday gift in 1958, symbolizing his simple lifestyle and dedication to the nation.
Nearby is the iconic One Pillar Pagoda, built in 1049 by King Ly Thai Tong after a vision of the Goddess of Mercy seated on a lotus flower. Though destroyed by the French in 1954, it was faithfully reconstructed in 1955.

Hoa Lu Ancient Capital - Continue your journey through history with a visit to Hoa Lu, the site of the royal palaces during the Dinh and Le dynasties. Here, you’ll explore ancient temples nestled under shady canopies, notable for their intricate wooden carvings and rich historical atmosphere.

Next, continue to the mystical Ta Prohm Temple, famed for the giant fig trees and sprawling roots that have become entwined with the temple ruins. This atmospheric site, often described as a “lost city,” was left largely as it was found by archaeologists, offering a hauntingly beautiful vision of nature reclaiming man-made structures.
Return to your hotel for a short rest and refresh.

As the day winds down, take a drive to West Baray, a vast man-made reservoir dating back to the Angkorian period. Here, you’ll enjoy a peaceful sunset view over the water while sipping on local beer and enjoying light snacks — a serene way to end a day steeped in history and wonder.

Siem Reap – Hidden Temples
Kbal Spean - Start your day early with a scenic drive to Kbal Spean, also known as the “River of a Thousand Lingas,” located about 60 minutes from Siem Reap. Upon arrival, begin a leisurely 3-kilometer hike through a lush forest trail offering sweeping views of the surrounding countryside.
At the top, discover a sacred riverbed where elaborately carved Lingas and Hindu deities lie beneath the water’s surface, dating back to the 11th century. These intricate carvings, set into the rocks of the river, were created to bless the waters that flowed downstream into the Angkorian city. In the wet season, a small waterfall cascades over the carvings, adding to the mystical beauty of the site. (Note: Good hiking shoes are recommended, especially during the rainy season when the trail may be slippery.)
After hiking back down, drive to a local restaurant for lunch, where you can enjoy regional Cambodian dishes in a relaxed setting.
Banteay Srei - In the afternoon, visit the enchanting Banteay Srei Temple, often referred to as the “Citadel of Women.” This 10th-century red sandstone temple is celebrated for its remarkably well-preserved and intricate carvings depicting scenes from Hindu mythology. Smaller in scale but rich in detail, Banteay Srei provides an exceptional insight into Khmer craftsmanship and devotion.
Return to your hotel in Siem Reap for a well-earned rest.
Dinner is at your leisure.

Along the way, stop to visit a local village, where you’ll gain insights into rural life and traditional livelihoods.
