It is a long ride from... - It is a long ride from Seattle but all the beautiful stops help pass the time. It was a very cute little town with good food and shopping. Worth the long ride!

Fantastic Day Trip to Leavenworth! - The Leavenworth Tour from Seattle was absolutely worth it! Out guide, Mohammed was fantastic-friendly, knowledgeable and clearly passionate about sharing the beauty of the area. He made the journey enjoyable with stops at some stunning scenic spots along the way. Leavenworth itself is a charming Bavarian style village tucked in the mountains, full of great shopping, delicious food, and picturesque views. Highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for a memorable day trip from Seattle!

Ask for Mehrdad! - Leavenworth itself is better if you go on a day when they are having performances, but the stops on the way and back to see multiple waterfalls are awesome! Mehrdad was a great guide!

Trip to Leavenworth - Our tour guide, Mr. Moe, promptly picked us up from our downtown Seattle hotel and gave us water and snacks for the trip and provided commentary about Seattle as we headed out of town. The trip to Leavenworth was about 3 hours and included a couple of restroom breaks and a nice stop at Deception Falls in the Cascade Mtns. We had a great time in Leavenworth - loved the buildings with the German facades. MO recommended eating at the Baren Haus Restaurant, which we really enjoyed. Lots of stores for souvenir shopping and a live music platform, which was great. The only negative I have is I thought our time in Leavenworth was a little too long considering the long drive back. Maybe shave off 30 minutes.

Long drive and disappointing - This was the trip I was really looking forward to but very disappointing. It was a long day in a van for nothing more than t-shirts and souvenirs. The stop in Index was extremely gross, the port a potties had not been cleaned or emptied. Slava our tour guide was good, very accommodating to our request.

Sorry I don't get the charm - Our group of 4 traveled July 2025 with Slava. It's a long drive to visit 4 blocks of German Theme tourist stores. Our group if 8 agreed that 4+ hours was way too long for this. On the way back we stopped for almost an hour to see another lesser famous falls. A 15-20 minute break would be enough.

6 hours in the car for this? - Our driver was great, they picked us up right at the hotel and communicated with us perfectly so all of that is five stars. Here’s the question you need to ask, though. Is visiting Leavenworth worth 6 hours in the car and a 10 hour excursion? The answer is, it’s not. The Bavarian theme is cool but it’s just a bunch of t-shirt shops and restaurants. If you’re looking for a day trip away from Seattle, I’m sure there are better ones.

Don’t do it… - First and foremost our problems were with our guide Mr. Mohamed. We were not picked up at the pick up point sent to us, nor at the time scheduled. We received a text that our pick up time changed from 9 to 9:45 am. Mr. Mohamed called but we were unable to hear or understand him other than the word Hotel. We had to use Google maps to figure out where he meant. He acted upset it took us time to find him and the van in a completely different area. No one in our tour could hear or understand Mr. Mohamed even when he used the microphone. We were in the last row of the van and asked him to turn the music down so we could hear him but he ignored us. When we asked him to speak louder or repeat things, he didn’t respond. There was little to no information shared about the area or history even if we could have heard him. His driving throughout the tour was erratic and sometimes very risky. Because there were so many people squeezed into the small van, not everyone was able to use their seatbelts. This made the ride uncomfortable and scary. When asked about the seatbelt issue he simply shrugged. When a tour is 9+ hours long, most of it in the van, it would have been nice to feel safe. Instead many people in the back became nauseous. When we asked him to turn down the maxed out AC, he switched it to blasting heat. When we asked him again to please regulate the temperature, he acted as if we were bothering him. Each brief stop he’d open the van door then frown angrily against the window. We did have a good amount of time in Leavenworth. Before we started the return drive, a number of people asked about the charge to be dropped off at the airport. We were all quoted $70 for the entire group. Multiple people confirmed and reconfirmed this with Mr. Mohamed, including myself, my mother and another couple. We divided the $70 fee between us and tallied who owed what. The 3+ hour drive back to the city was in complete silence. When we reached the airport, the first couple got out. We were on a different airline but it was only two doors down and offered to get out at the same place but were told no. When my mother, my daughter and I were finally let out, Mr. Mohamed demanded the $70 payment. My mother paid because he became very belligerent and was screaming at us in the airport drop off lane. We were frightened, we couldn’t understand what had happened and at that point we just wanted it to be over. We saw the other couple inside the airport and they also paid $70. We all felt scammed and this ended our tour on a very sour note considering the cost of the tour to begin with was very high.
