Fantastic way to start the day! - The coffee shop picks were excellent—every cup was amazing. The guide was a great storyteller, funny, and personable, which made the experience even better. I recommend doing the morning tour to beat the crowds. The market walk-through was a perfect introduction, and you have time to explore more on your own afterward. You definitely don’t need Starbucks when you have this tour!

This is a great choice if you like or love coffee! - Our tour guide was exceptional and the coffee was even better! Loved the coffee and city histories (and the intertwinings). The Ethiopian coffee ceremony at Land of Origins was awesome. Highly recommend! Even as a gluten-free person, I was incredibly happy to be part of this tour! Honestly, I would have kept going more than 2 hours (and to more coffee shops) if that had been a possibility.

Do this tour! - Our trip to Seattle was fantastic. One of the reasons was a great coffee tour by Chef Eric on a Friday morning. We hit six places and sampled different java and snacks. We learned a little history of the area, the market, and coffee. 100% worth it.

Gold Star Coffee Experience! - This was great experience. Eric, our guide, took us to great places while putting the coffee experience into the context of the location. I have greater appreciation for making the best cup of coffee. The Ethiopian Coffee ceremony with Meeraf at the end of the tour made my day.

A great start to our day and Seattle Trip!!! - We had such an amazing morning on the coffee crawl. Eric, our guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about the topic and establishments we went to. The walk was very do-able and not too fast or hilly. It was a fantastic start to our day and helped us orient ourself to Pike Place market before trying to wander it on our own.

Great Activity for a Work Trip - I booked this experience as a fun activity for my coworkers and I while we were in Seattle for a work trip. This was an amazing way to get to know more about Pike Place while getting to try a bunch of different coffee and pastries. Noah was a fantastic tour guide, made everyone feel at ease and energized and gave great recommendations. I would definitely recommend if you want to know a little bit more about Pike Place while finding some great food stops.

Chef Eric is the best! - My husband and I took the morning Coffee Crawl tour with Chef Eric! It was amazing, definitely the highlight of our trip! Chef Eric was phenomenal with explaining the history behind the coffee, the demonstrations, plus all the great little food and coffee stops. All of the coffee / tea and little breakfast bites was incredibly delicious!! And we learned so much! Highly recommend this tour, especially if you love coffee, 10/10!! :)

Interesting overview of coffee history and brewing techniques - I recently joined the Pike’s Place morning coffee tour guided by Chef Eric, and it was certainly an interesting experience. Chef Eric proved to be knowledgeable about various roasting types, explaining the differences between blonde and dark roasts. His enthusiasm for coffee shone through, especially when discussing the origins of coffee in the Obsidian Empire and its journey through different cultures, including the Ottoman expansion and Dutch colonization in Java. This historical context was fascinating and added depth to the experience. The tour included a chance to sample a pour-over brewing method with Ethiopian coffee and watched a Chemex brew with Costa Rican coffee, using a precise 15-gram water to 1-gram coffee ratio. Chef Eric also touched on the differences between coffee bean types, such as Canephora and Arabica, and mentioned that the more lightly roasted coffee contained more caffeine, which was a fun fact to learn. The tour was a good introduction to Seattle’s coffee scene and various brewing techniques. If you’re curious about coffee and enjoy a quick history lesson, this tour is worth a try.
