Fun staff outing with Ballard Kayak! - What a fabulous way to bond with coworkers, enjoy this beautiful city we call home, and experience something new! Blaine and crew took care of all the details so all we needed to do was show up. Not only are they certified for safety, they are super knowledgeable about the wildlife and history of the area. We are a group of bird lovers, and were treated to views of many bird and marine mammal species, including a visit to a Purple Martin colony right near the marina. If you're looking for a family, corporate, or other group outing, we highly recommend Ballard Kayak! They will make sure you're safe, having fun, and truly exploring Puget Sound. Thanks for the great day, Blaine!

Great way to spend the afternoon - Afternoon tour to Discovery Point - we had Chloe as our guide. Good material, excellent guide - we had fantastic weather as well, but this was a fun activity wth a very good tour guide. Easy going, but looking out for our safety and making sure we all had a good time. I went on my own, so shared the kayak with Chloe which was good fun. She shares a lot of information, but is also genuinely interested in the people in our tour. Will definitely come back for another trip next time I'm Seattle

Awesome guide - Unique perspective of city and shoreline - We loved the 2-hr kayak tour with our guide (Sam). He was great at pointing out different features and wildlife. It offered a unique view of Seattle and various points of interest. Most of our group had never kayaked before but we felt like the introduction and tips helped a lot. We all had a great time and would book again.

Our tour guides were positive and... -
Our tour guides were positive and engaging the whole time. The picnic lunch was a nice, fresh touch. It was a great way for my older teenagers to be active on our vacation to Washington.

Great day on the water! - We were in Seattle to visit our son and decided to go kayaking. I found Ballard Kayak & Paddleboard via TripAdvisor. We went on the Discovery Point tour and had a great time! Like the previous reviewer wrote... we saw seals, bald eagles, and a sea lion. Our guide Devon did a great job... My wife ended up in his Kayak. He took great care of her... and got an extra workout since she has had a shoulder injury and wasn't really up to paddling. Lunch on the beach was nice... very good sandwiches and fruit! This is a first class operation and highly recommended!

Seals, Sea Lions, Bald Eagles and a beach picnic! - I highly recommend Ballard Kayak & Paddleboard, I went on the Discovery Point tour and enjoyed every second of it. I saw a seal and a bald eagle with in 5 minutes of each other, this was then followed by a picnic lunch are a small quiet beach (sandwich, chips, drink, fresh fruit) before getting back in the kayak and making our way to Discovery Park which we then got out and walked around the light house that is there. On the way back we did a little bit of kayak surfing (which I didn't know was a thing) before entering the marina.

Great Views - We took the Discovery Point tour, it was a small group just our group of 2 and one other person. It was very relaxing and chill, we where able to see some sea otters that followed our Kayak. On Discovery Point, we hiked around a little bit and then just relaxed on the beach which was very secluded while having lunch. Overall, I would recommend it. It gets you away from the high tourist areas and your actually doing something versus just looking at something even though there was plenty of beautiful sites to see on the kayak.

Nice way to spend half a day - I did the Discovery Point trip this past weekend. It was a beautiful day, so I was surprised there were only 3 customers. Since I was solo, I was in the kayak with the guide, who was great. The other 2 were brand new to kayaking, so we didn't paddle as far or as fast as I had expected, but I had a very good time. Maybe I missed the small print, but I didn't expect to be in a 2-person kayak - I assumed I would have my own. I would have had a little more fun if I'd been free to paddle a little more. But I highly recommend the company - everything was well-organized and it was a really nice day out on the water.
