Highly recommended - Richard was an excellent guide and knowledgeable about the Tower having worked as an elevator operator before the elevators were modernised. It is a beautiful building and the hi light was the Mexican Onyx which Richard hi lighted with the torch on his iPone! It was incredible.

Be sure and take the guided tour! - We opted to purchase the guided tour with Spencer and were so glad that we did! You can take the self-guided tour for less money but Spencer added so much to the experience! I grew up in Seattle and went to the Smith Tower as a child but had not been there as an adult and I decided to celebrate my birthday by touring this iconic Seattle landmark and stopping for snacks and drinks in the Observatory Bar. Over 100 years old the Tower is rich with Seattle history and the views from the 42nd floor over Elliot Bay are beautiful! The guide, Spencer, provided such interesting historical information and local insights. The tours are limited to 10 people, the Bar is in the beautifully ornate Chinese Room on the 42nd floor- the view to the west is incredible!

Smith Tower's Iconic History - Bootleggers, Ghosts, and More! - Spencer gave us a wonderful tour of Smith Tower. In 22 years of living in Seattle, I had never been and always wanted to see the inside of this iconic building. It was amazing to see the gorgeous early 20th century decor. Spencer regaled us with stories about the building's bootlegger history, interesting penthouse residents, and ghosts! We finished with craft cocktails in the Chinese Room, which offers a breathtaking view of the city and surrounding natural beauty. Definitely worth a visit!

Great view but more importantly a break from noise - The view was great and the 27$ worth while for a break away from noise and people especially in a hot day
Book online few days before for cheaper rate .
The elevator is brass and polished also maneuvered by an attendant
The food is sub par and could be much better
However for a piece of quiet and rest this is perfect

Some calm and a million dollar view to break the Seattle visit - Pleasant receptionist who pointed out the booth to register and that feeds into her system for the 27$ entry
The place is perfect to get away from it allie The noise the people pushing .
You get to see how this tower was created via a very short museum with belle époque photos and luxurious marble floor .
The elevator is the prelude as it is magnificent and polished as it was back then. Copper and brass
It is operated by an attendant that brings you in a minute to the 35 th floor.
The view is fantastic as you walk around this little wrap around patio ( mount Rainier is seen)
The room leading to it has a beautiful asian ceiling where you can have a drink and some “just ok” food but with a million dollar view
I enjoined the visit and recommend

The building is the cutest but the rooftop bar doesn't worth a penny! - This tower is really cute with history of the town hiding in there. it definitely a must see place in Seattle. Here are my pros and cons about the place:
Pros:
Easy to park, there are many parking options around with different prices.
The tower: you'll get to see the history of the building which is the best part of the visit. The elevator itself is my favorite part.
Cons:
Worst part that you can skip: The bar/restaurant on the roof doesn't worth your money! The staff had attitude and late to deliver our drinks and food, no matter whatever we asked to change our drinks a bit adding a shot they responded with attitude. We ordered chicken sliders, felt like a warmed up food and chicken shreds had this smell. Honestly this is a historic place of our city and it's a shame that we don't have a good quality decent place for food on the rooftop of such a nice place. We were so disappointed. If I have a visiting guest I won't plan on having food or drink up there!
and if you extract that experience the price of $27 for adults would be a bit expensive!
