For lovers of stories!!! - If you love an interactive and engaging type of tour, then this is for you! I feel like we really lucked out, by having a smaller group. It was silly, and funny, and through and through educational. Its not a telescope tour, its learning about the night sky with what you can see with the naked eye. And I appreciated it more for that reason. It's knowledge you gained and can use at any point, no fancy equipment needed. If you love audience participation, this is DEFINITELY for you. If you already love the stars and astromony, even astrology, lots of opportunities and encouragement to chime in. I also really loved that there was pop culture tie ins. From movie refences to songs, its incredible to really have it put into perspective how much the stars have influenced us throughout history. Chad is an amazing educator, and I appreciated having some concepts I was struggling to put together, succinctly summarized. (Especially around indigenous beliefs in the Americas) Even if you know Greek mythology, or know a lot about stories related to constellations, its still worth it. I found it fascinating to hear Greek mythos as interpreted through the stars and their constellations SPECIFICALLY. It brings a new perspective. And heck, I even got to learn more about story-tellers, and the magical influence Sedona has had on these prominent figures in our culture. Ps. There is a chicken and a rooster

Detailed local tales and constellations - This tour is awesome for people looking to learn about local tales of the area, as well as view constellations. Chad did an amazing job explaining local legends, the history behind certain constellations and the locations of constellations in the sky. My fiancé and I got very lucky with a clear night in August where we saw a very vivid sky filled with dozens of constellations, a shooting star and a clear view of the Milky Way. It is important to note constellations and visibility may vary based on the time of year so it is important to do research before hand.

Not as expected. - This is not a star gazing experience at all and we were very disappointed, as that is what we wanted. Chad is VERY passionate about his interpretations of the constellations and their rotations. He gave an abundance of references to Greek mythology stories as they pertained to the astrological figures of the stars. More lecture than hands on learning. Nice guy but during the 2 hour presentation it became unnecessarily repetitive and uninteresting to us.

Not for those wanting to learn about stars and our solar system - Our guide seemed like a kind hearted person who clearly loved telling stories. Unfortunately, for me, this experience fell far short of my expectations, and is not at all what I was expecting when I booked. He spent so much time going off on story telling tangents that were seemingly unrelated to learning about the stars, galaxies, planets, etc. He sang a Monty Python song, talked about a Greek god who got stuck in some honey, mentioned his hen and rooster were in his camper that he drove to the meeting point, etc. There is so much fascinating formation about the stars and solar system he could’ve imparted during this 2+ hours and I was really looking forward to learning more but I walked away feeling like I had missed a great opportunity by booking the wrong tour. Again, the guide was a nice man and others have enjoyed his talk but it just wasn’t for me.
