Awesome tour! - This is the best way to use your day seeing the Golden Circle. Make sure to book the “Super Jeep”. Also, make sure you book Mountaineers of Iceland company because their Super Jeeps are more luxurious than other company’s we saw. There were only 6 folks on our tour (in our super jeep). Taking the Super Jeep was $50 more pp but worth every dime for the luxury and small group. I am so happy with my decision. Including the snowmobiling made this tour. It was only an hour of driving/riding the snowmobiles but was really fun. Most important advice I can give you is wear waterproof hiking boots. Boots that come above your ankle. You’ll be walking on VERY uneven surfaces, gravel, lava rock, black sand and hiking up hills in the dirt. Your feet will get wet around the waterfalls.

The snowmobiling was an amazing experience. Most of all I liked being chauffeured around in the massive jeep!! Our guide was very knowledgeable. Don’t hesitate, book it!

Highly recommended one - The tour operator was very kind, efficient and helpful. We actually missed them in our stop due to a confusion but they guided us and picked us up from a different stop. They planned the trip so well based on the weather and ensured we had a nice time. It was well organised and highly recommended

Wow - long day full of fun ! - What a first day in Iceland this tour was …. Got picked up in the lifted Mercedes van and headed right up to the golden circle (2 hour drive with plenty of q and a with driver and history lesson) Made stop for coffee then started off roading in the snow (15-20 min to get to base camp) Hit the snow mobiles for a quick ride to view the glacier (30 min ride) Then on the way home stopped by waterfalls and geysers and finished off with view of North Atlantic and euro tectonic plates It is expensive (like everything in Iceland) but was worth it and for sure a full day of activities … if you could only do one thing this is it and checks off many boxes

A Must Do! - This was a great tour and the guides were amazing. The snowmobiling was also and I felt safe even with limited visibility at certain moments due to heavy snow that particular day. Just follow the person in front of you and all will be ok. Plus there are guides all around you in case you need help.

An experience of a lifetime! - This tour was wonderful, and the snowmobiling was the highlight of our visit to Iceland. The views were stunning and we had so much fun driving the snowmobile. The group was small, which made it even better, and the superjeep was really cool. Our guide, Jon, was really friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and a brilliant driver. I had never driven a snowmobile before but it was really well explained and we were supplied with suits, helmets, balaclavas and gloves. It would be really important to have waterproof footwear with you as this was not supplied - you can book it as an extra to the tour - but you'll need this in Iceland anyway. We also visited the Geysir geothermal area (lovely food in the restaurant here!), Þingvellir National Park (you need a longer visit to really appreciate this - our short stop only gave us a very brief taste of it) and the absolutely stunning Gullfoss waterfall. The reason I didn't rate this tour as excellent was because it felt a bit like the Golden Circle tour was an add-on to the snowmobiling rather than the other way around. If I were going again, I would do the Golden Circle separately to the snowmobiling - I would have liked to have had a bit more time to enjoy those beautiful sights and a longer lunch stop. However, the snowmobiling is definitely a must-do and I am thrilled that we did it.
