Grateful for the flexibility - Our cruise arrival was delayed due to the weather, but Nordur Travel was so kind as to change the schedule to the evening tour. The communication was very good as well, and we are so grateful.

Great Tour Company - We actually did not go on the tour because our boat was late arriving in Reykjavik. The tour company rescheduled the tour to late in the day, but the timing did not work for us. They graciously refunded the payment. I was very impressed with their communication. It was prompt with the option to message using WhatsApp. Great company.

Great tour & fabulous tour company in a pinch when cruise ship altered course! =:) - We found out about 11am that our ship was going to make port 5 hours late! I immediately contacted the tour thru the app & they replied within a couple minutes & immediately went to work on a solution! 45 min later they told us they'd be able to accommodate us with 3 stops instead of 4. So much better than none!! Everyone in the same situation got right off when we docked & George, our driver/guide got everyone sorted into the several small tour busses & we were able to get a 30 min headscarf of the revised tour start time. George assured us we would still get all the stops in! It was light rain & heavy clouds, but we did make it to see everything & George wisely reversed the larger waterfall & the Geyser so we'd see the waterfall in the last of the daylight. It was fine to see the geyser after.
George did a great job of organizing, calming with humor, driving, narrating information, herding cats, & making the experience as great as could be! Thank you for redeeming the day & excursion! Great work!!🤩

Thank you, Nordur! - Incredible customer service - they saved our port stop in Reykjavik! Our arrival was moved from 8am to noon a few months before our cruise, and Nordur was able to adjust our departure time. The morning we sailed to Reykjavik, the captain notified us at 10am that we'd arrive 4 hours late - at 4pm instead of noon. While we feared they'd have to cancel the tour entirely, Nordur got us on the road by 5pm. Olga, our guide/driver, was very informative, and we managed to see the national park, the Stokker geyser, and the Gullfoss waterfall. It was getting a bit dark for the last stop, but we were all thrilled to see it at all. So many ship passengers had their tours cancelled with no alternatives offered. Nordur contacted us quickly and found a solution that allowed us to see most of the golden circle highlights. Again, thank you!

Top Tour - Perfect organization. Although our cruise ship arrived 4 hours later, the organizer tried everything to make this tour. Golden Circle Tour highly recommended.

Small group Golden Circle excursion for cruises - We were on a cruise from Quebec City and chose the Small Group Golden Circle tour. Our guide, Laura, was excellent. She had good knowledge, was very friendly and spoke fluent English and French. The timescales for getting back to the ship were tight but Laura regularly assured us that we would be on time and in fact got us back in plenty of time. Laura did this without compromising the time spent at the stops unlike the experience of the passengers who booked through the cruise line tour.
We stopped at the tectonic plates, Gullfoss waterfalls and geyser. We were given sufficient time to explore these areas and take lots of photographs. Laura was great at finding an ideal spot for the geyser in particular. The geyser stop was about an hour which included time for lunch.
The minibus was very comfortable and was waiting for us on time at the port and Nordur sent a text when we first docked to confirm pick up. Unfortunately the ship docked in a different place to the one expected which meant there was a 5/10 minute walk and the dock was not very clearly signposted. It mentions a shuttle bus but we never saw that. Nordur text did confirm Laura was there and another passenger had a text with a few more details on pick up point. So it was easy to find but a bit more detail in our text would have helped
Overall a great experience and thank you to Laura for making it a memorable day.

Pros/Cons - but overall a nice tour - Pro: cruise ship was going to be late into port - the tour company did scramble to get tour times changed - we had to see geysier in the near dark - (that is not the fault of the tour) - the tour guide - a young lady (cant remember her name) instructed us on how to prounce the locations we were visiting.
Cons: finding the bus was difficult - and it was also late - my parents are older and it was really cold outside so another tour bus let them sit inside the their bus - the small tour bus is not as comfy- they also did not adjust the price even though we were not going to be able to full orginial itinerary (missed Öxarárfoss)
overall it was a nice tour- but def. rushed - had we know that NCL was going to overnight we would have rebooked for the next day
but we saw it together and I guess that what counts

Golden Circle Tour with Nordur Travel - Scenery in Iceland is amazing but tour organization was lacking. After debarking from our cruise ship, we were directed to the non-ship tour bus parking area. There were no reps with Nordur Travel signs in the parking lot so we had to ask about 10 tour guides before we found the correct bus/16-seat van. We then waited for a missing passenger for about 30 minutes somewhat delaying the start of our tour. Tour guide narration was fine, transport was comfortable, and, again, scenery was amazing. Would have given this tour 5 stars if directions to get to transport were clear.

Too late too dark to enjoy - Unfortunately our cruise ship did not arrive on time so the tour company scrambled to do the tour at a later time. We were given the option of cancelling or doing the later time.. I regret not cancelling because the tour was rushed at every locatiin we stopped at and by the time we got to the gyser it was pitch black and too dangerous for us to walk to see anything.
The company really should not have even suggested the alternative .
