• Thingvellir National Park - The day’s first destination is Þingvellir National Park, where visitors can admire Thingvellir Lake, Iceland’s second-largest, and walk along the rift where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates converge.

This park is also renowned as the site of Althing, the world’s first parliament, established in 930 AD. The park’s name, Þingvellir (meaning “Fields of the Parliament”), is derived from this historical significance. If time permits, the guide will accompany visitors to the Öxarárfoss Waterfall, which cascades into the rift and flows into Thingvellir Lake.

• Laugarvatn Fontana Geothermal Baths - This brief yet fascinating stop offers insight into the traditional method of making geothermal steamed bread. While a tasting is not included in the tour price, it can be arranged upon request.
• Efstidalur II - The next destination is Efstidalur Farm, where visitors can see Icelandic cattle and enjoy delicious locally-made ice cream. This farm has been family-operated since 1750. For ice cream enthusiasts, a complimentary treat is offered, with a choice of any flavor.
• Geysir - A short ten-minute drive brings us to the Haukdalur/Geysir geothermal area. Here, visitors can explore one of Iceland’s most geothermally active regions. The park features “Strokkur,” Iceland’s most active geyser, which erupts hot water up to 20–30 meters (65–98 feet) every 5–10 minutes. Additionally, there is Litli Geysir, known as “the small one,” resembling a boiling pot, along with about twenty other dormant geysers that may suddenly become active. Visitors are advised to maintain a safe distance, as the water temperature is approximately 100°C (212°F).
• Fridheimar - The tour continues south to Fridheimar, a tomato cultivation farm where guests can sample various tomato-based dishes and desserts. Some claim this location serves the best Bloody Mary cocktail in the world. The stop is brief, allowing a glimpse inside the greenhouse and perhaps a drink or soup from the bar. If a full lunch stop is desired, please inform us so we can adjust the itinerary accordingly.
• Gullfoss Waterfall - The journey proceeds to Gullfoss Waterfall, Iceland’s second-largest waterfall. It is a short 5-minute walk from the parking area to the waterfall’s viewpoint.

During the summer, those interested in hiking can walk to the side of the waterfall, experiencing the vibrations and refreshing mist from the cascading water.

At this stage, all three main attractions of the renowned Golden Circle route have been visited. However, the adventure continues, as there is more to explore.

• Kerid Crater - Finally, the tour stops at Kerid, offering a stunning view of this approximately 5000-year-old crater.
