- Silfra Adventure Vikings - Join us at Thingvellir National Park, located approximately 50 km from Reykjavik. Upon arrival, you will meet your PADI divemaster certified guide, who will explain the procedures and safety protocols for your tour. Afterward, you will gear up and explore the stunning underwater canyon/fissure, Silfra, formed as the continental plates separate at a rate of about 2 cm per year. Silfra is a freshwater fissure offering visibility of at least 100 meters. The water is so clear and pure, it feels like you’re flying. You will spend approximately 40 minutes in the water. Before departing, enjoy a delightful hot chocolate prepared by your guide for the day.
We offer the option to pre-book a wetsuit on another listing. Booking a wetsuit is recommended for those who wish to dive deeper or for scuba divers without the necessary certifications for scuba diving. For the wetsuit, it is advised that you are a confident swimmer; if not, the drysuit is more suitable. To accommodate everyone’s preferences, we are the only company that provides both wetsuits and drysuits, allowing them to be in the same group.
