- Fridheimar - Experience the Friðheima family’s year-round tomato cultivation in their greenhouses. A guided tour allows you to explore their tomato plants. Visitors can enjoy a mug of Iceland’s finest tomato soup, accompanied by a freshly baked breadstick of choice, at the on-site bar.
- Gullfoss Waterfall - A stunning waterfall, Gullfoss is one of Iceland’s most photographed. Situated on the Hvítá river, a glacier river, it primarily consists of meltwater from Langjökull glacier, Iceland’s second-largest glacier. Paved paths lead from the parking area to the main viewing spots.
- Geysir - The Geysir geothermal area is a highlight of South Iceland. The Strokkur hot spring erupts every few minutes, sending a water column skyward. With a camera ready, you might capture the beautiful blue bubble that forms just before the eruption. Standing nearby during an eruption is a breathtaking experience. Visitors can also explore other hot springs and steam vents in the area.
- Efsti-Dalur 2 - This family-owned dairy farm, operated for generations, welcomes global visitors. Guests can observe cows in the barn while enjoying homemade ice cream, coffee, or a farm-fresh burger in the cozy, rustic café.
- Thingvellir National Park - Þingvellir is rich in history and natural beauty. It is the site where the Icelandic parliament Alþingi was established around 930. Significant events in Icelandic history have occurred here. The park is uniquely situated on the Atlantic Ocean ridge that traverses Iceland. Traveling the Golden Circle route involves crossing both the North American and Eurasian plates, with the ridge between them. Þingvellir also features Þingvalla lake, with Silfra on its northern side, a popular spot for scuba diving and snorkeling.
