  Located in the stunning Lake Bafa National Park, with the breathtaking backdrop of Latmos Mountain, Bafa is a sanctuary of peace.
  If fortunate, one might witness one of the planet’s greatest mysteries.
  It may be hard to believe, but the eels in Lake Bafa originate from the Gulf of Saragossa in Mexico. Once mature, these eels embark on a long journey, traveling up the Menderes River to reach the Aegean Sea, then the Mediterranean, before crossing the Atlantic to the Gulf of Saragossa in Mexico.
