Embark on a journey back in time with this tour to the House of the Virgin Mary and the ancient city of Ephesus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A 30-minute drive will take you to the House of the Virgin Mary, believed to be where she spent her final years. This revered location, officially recognized as a Roman Catholic shrine, has welcomed three Papal visits since 1967. Next, a 10-minute drive will lead you to Ephesus, where you can explore the Odeon Theatre, the Celsus Library, and the Temple of Hadrian. This magnificent Corinthian-style temple was dedicated in A.D. 118 and rebuilt in the 4th century. You will also visit the Great Theatre, which dates back to the Hellenistic era and is where St. Paul once preached. With its excellent acoustics, the theatre is still in use today. The Marble Road, connecting the Theatre and the Celsus Library, is part of a sacred path. On your return, enjoy a vibrant carpet-making demonstration, where colors come to life before your eyes.
