Sendai Tour - Our guide Sanichi was very helpful in helping us explore Sendai! He took us to many historic sites around the city, and gave us detailed explanations and fun stories. We took the sightseeing bus around to Sendai Castle, and the Sendai Museum. It was a great time. Our guide spoke English with us, and we were also able to practice some Japanese phrases with him. Overall a fun time and would recommend for anyone looking to have a focused tour of the city.

A customized tour in the tsunami disaster area - We wanted to see some of the area devastated by the 2011 tsunami but the ready-made tour of that area did not quite fit our schedule and interests. Happily the tour operator and the guide (Riko) came together to create a custom tour for us with two main elements: - The Okawa Elementary School - An oyster and sake festival in Matsushima (We paid for an extra hour to make it fit.) Riko was well-prepared (including being a sake specialist) and speaks excellent English. It took some effort to make this custom tour come together but we were very pleased with the result.

Riko is a super star guide - Riko was an excellent guide! We had never booked a private tour before and weren't sure what to expect, but by the end of the day we both agreed that we made the right call. Riko is very energetic, fun and friendly. She knew so much fascinating information about Matsushima, from ancient history to pop-culture lore, and we got so much out of our day trip from Sendai. Had we just gone on our own, we would never have learned so much!

Riko-san was a stupendous guide! - Riko-san was a wonderful guide! Very friendly and knowledgeable. They made sure we had authentic Japanese experiences and provided context to some of the area’s cultural sites and norms. We greatly enjoyed our time in the beautiful natural wonderland that is Matsushima Bay, with Riko-san making it an unforgettable experience.

Matsushima Tour on Date Masamune - My guide Riko san after knowing that I am very interested in Date Masamune related places, she planned an amazing day tour at Matsushima. I got to see the Michinoku Date Masamune History Museum where the life of Date Masamune is being shown scene by scene, and Riko san also took me to the Zuiganji, for which is the Date family temple and it has a lot of Date Masamune related treasure. With Riko san detailed explanation, as a big fan of Japan Sengoku period, I had the best day trip!
