The 2nd Tunnel - The 2nd Tunnel, constructed by North Koreans for an invasion of South Korea, was discovered on March 24, 1975. This tunnel spans 3.5 kilometers and is situated 50~160 meters below the surface. It extends 1.1 kilometers and 2.4 kilometers in the south and north directions respectively. Only 500 meters is accessible for tourism along its entire length. Inside the tunnel, there is a plaza designed to gather a large military force. The tunnel is divided into 3 exits. This tunnel could accommodate thirty thousand armed forces and tanks passing through per hour. Currently, the tunnel is part of the Cheorwon Security Tourism Course, attracting numerous tourists annually.

Cheorwon Peace Observatory - This peace observatory, featuring three stories and a basement, opened in November 2007. The first floor houses an exhibition hall, while the second floor serves as an observatory, allowing tourists to view the ecosystem, the fortress of Gung-Ye Castle town, Pyeonggang tableland, and Seonjeon town of North Korea in the DMZ. There’s also a miniature model created with state-of-the-art technology and an ultra-precision telescope system, enabling tourists to witness and understand the reality of national division.

Woljeongri Station - Woljeong-ri Station (Iron Triangle Battlefield) is the final stop before reaching the DMZ. With the sign “The iron horse wants to run again,” the remains of a train that frequently traveled to North Korea stand here. Located at the site of the fiercest battle during the Korean War, this train marks the partition line of the Korean peninsula. Today, Woljeong-ri Station is managed by the Cheorwon-gun Office, and hundreds of thousands of people visit this unique tourist destination each year.

Korean Workers’ Party Headquarters - The origins of this building are unclear, as records suggest it was constructed in early 1946, before the establishment of the Workers’ Party of North Korea (the predecessor to the current Workers’ Party of Korea).
