- Bugak Palgakjeong - The city wall is surrounded by four major mountains: North, South, West, and East. Bukaksan is the northern mountain, embracing five royal palaces and serving as the main mountain of the primary palace according to Geomancy or Feng-Shui, the theory of Wind-and-Water Magic.
- Bukchon Hanok Village - This village was the prime residential area according to Feng-Shui during the Joseon dynasty (1392 ~ 1910). It is nestled between two royal palaces and originally consisted of 30 large edifices, all belonging to noble, upper-class, literati, and royal families.
Today, there are 2,600 houses and buildings, small and compact, sharing walls in the neighborhood. Visitors can still experience the ancient village atmosphere.
- Insadong - Insadong street, approximately 700 meters long, is centrally located and renowned for its unique, antique, and traditional landscapes. It features tea houses, restaurants, art galleries, souvenir shops, and is bustling with tourists.
From the main street, numerous narrow back lanes branch out. Discover where the exits lead!
- Jogyesa Temple - This small Buddhist temple in the city center functions as a major Buddhist temple in Seoul. For those interested in experiencing Korean Buddhism, Temple Stay Programs are available! The temple specializes in explaining and organizing chanting services, monk’s life, and meditation.
- Namsan Park - Among the four major mountains on Seoul’s city wall, Namsan is the southern mountain, centrally located in Seoul. It features Namsan Tower (237 meters high), a cable car, and various facilities to explore!
- Namdaemun Market - As Korea’s largest traditional marketplace, it offers a wide range of items, excluding furniture and construction-related goods. The market is known for its affordable, high-quality fashion for kids and adults, food and snacks, kitchenware, jewelry, decoration items, and shoes.
