- Menara Kuala Lumpur - Rising proudly atop Bukit Nanas at 421 meters and 94 meters above sea level, KL Tower is a significant element of the city’s skyline. Its design embodies the nation’s Islamic heritage, featuring Arabic scripts, Islamic tiles, classic Islamic floral and abstract motifs, and calming color schemes.
- Petronas Twin Towers - Standing at 451.9m, the stunning Petronas Twin Towers are a globally recognized symbol of modern Malaysia. They are the centerpiece of the Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC) development, which includes landmarks like the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Suria KLCC shopping mall, luxury hotels, a mosque, and the beautifully landscaped KLCC park. Visitors can explore the Skybridge on the 41st floor and the observation deck on the 86th floor.
Note: The journey from the Airport to Kuala Lumpur City takes approximately 40 minutes.
- National Monument - The National Monument was erected to honor those who sacrificed their lives for peace and freedom, especially during the nation’s fight against communism. The grounds feature one of the world’s largest free-standing bronze sculptures, created in 1966 by Felix de Weldon, who also designed the renowned Iwo Jima monument in Washington DC.
- Merdeka Square - Merdeka Square, or Independence Square, is situated directly opposite the Sultan Abdul Samad building and adjacent to the Royal Selangor Club. This historic site is where the Union flag was lowered, and the Malayan flag was raised for the first time at midnight on August 31, 1957. Since then, Merdeka Square has hosted the Annual Independence Parade.
- Sultan Abdul Samad Building - The iconic Sultan Abdul Samad building, dating back to the late nineteenth century (1890), stands in front of Merdeka Square/Dataran Merdeka. The building’s architecture features a distinctive Moorish style, and its clock tower is reminiscent of K.L.’s own Big Ben.
