Today, participants will explore one of Borneo’s numerous caves. The journey begins at the hotel lobby, departing from Kuching City to Lobang Batu, with an initial briefing at the village community center. Today, participants will explore one of Borneo’s numerous caves. The journey begins at the hotel lobby, departing from Kuching City to Lobang Batu, with an initial briefing at the village community center. Here, necessary caving gear, including helmets and basic refreshments, will be provided. After completing the equipment and safety briefings, the group will embark on a 45-minute trek through some of the area’s most picturesque farmland to reach the cave entrance. The adventure continues deep into the cave, where ceilings soar up to 35 meters high, showcasing impressive calcite formations and a variety of cave inhabitants. The route extends 1 km into the mountain, passing through multiple chambers, before retracing the path. A packed lunch will be provided. 500 meters around the mountain, participants will enter a second cave. Less than 200 meters into this cave, a small yet stunning chamber awaits discovery.
