This is undoubtedly the best way to explore as much of São Miguel as possible in a single day. It’s perfect for a brief visit or as a comprehensive introduction to the island before venturing out independently.
To ensure a comfortable experience and reduce driving time, you can opt to explore the West (Sete Cidades, Mosteiros, Ferraria hot springs) and the Center of the Island (Lagoa do Fogo, Vila Franca, Ribeira Grande, Tea and Pineapple plantations, etc.); or the East (the entire Furnas area, Ribeira dos Caldeirões waterfalls) and the Center. You’ll travel along many scenic roads and enjoy stunning views, including lush green fields, cows, flowers, the ocean, cliffs, and numerous stops to appreciate them.
While bathing in hot springs or stopping for lunch is possible, please note that these activities are not included in the expenses and typically take about 1 hour and 30 minutes of the itinerary.
