- Palacio del Marqués de la Motilla - The stunning building at the street corner is the Palace of the Marquis de la Motilla. Seville is brimming with opulent palace houses, each a hidden gem waiting to be discovered!
- Calle Sierpes - You’ve now arrived at Sierpes Street, one of Seville’s main shopping avenues. This narrow pedestrian street is bustling and among the busiest in the city.
- Plaza Nueva - You’ve reached Plaza Nueva, located across from the City Inn. As its name suggests, it is the city’s new public square.
- Plaza de Toros - Here stands another iconic symbol of Seville and one of its most visited sites, the Plaza de Toros. It is Spain’s largest and most significant bullfighting arena.
- Guadalquivir - Seville owes much to this river, known in Arabic as the Great River: Guadalquivir. It is Spain’s only navigable river, bringing prosperity and fame.
- Quartier Triana - Now you’re on the opposite side, along Betis Street, named by the Romans for the Guadalquivir. You’re in the bohemian and flamenco-rich district of Triana.
- Real Parroquia de Señora Santa Ana - You’re in the quaint square of Santa Ana Church, the neighborhood’s most renowned. It’s even dubbed the Cathedral of Triana!
- Torre del Oro - The San Telmo bridge, which returns you to the left bank, offers a clear view of the iconic Torre de Oro.
- Palacio de San Telmo - Here is another grand, possibly the most elegant, building in Seville: the Palace of San Telmo. It features a large rectangle with four towers and a spacious central courtyard.
- Royal Tobacco Factory of Seville - Another notable Seville landmark, you’re now in front of the Royal Tobacco Factory. The New World brought not only gold to Europe but also introduced a captivated populace to the miraculous plant: tobacco.
- Teatro Lope De Vega - You’re now in front of the beautiful Lope de Vega Theatre. Originally built for the 1929 Ibero-American World’s Fair, it was then known as the Theatre of the Exhibition.
- Parque de Maria Luisa - You’re passing through part of Maria Luisa Park, leading to the Spanish Steps. These gardens, once part of the Palace of San Telmo, were gifted to the city by Princess Marie-Louise, after whom they are named.
- Plaza de España - At the heart of the magnificent Spanish Steps, there’s undoubtedly something special about this place. No city in the world creates such a site without reason!
- Jardines del Prado de San Sebastian - You’re in the Prado Garden of San Sebastian, literally the San Sebastian Meadow. It sits on the site of the ancient hermitage of San Sebastian, built in the 13th century, which gave it its name.
- Murillo Gardens - Enter the Murillo Gardens, which run alongside the Alcazar and separate the old town from southern Seville. Their beauty and botanical diversity are due to their belonging to the Alcazar until 1862.
- Rosina’s Balcony - Seville has long been well-known in France. No low-cost flights were needed to discover Andalusia’s wonders, but Beaumarchais’ pen imagined the romantic lives of its inhabitants.
- Convento de San José del Carmen - To your right is the entrance to the Church of the Convent of San José del Carmen, known as Little Thérèse. It is a cloistered Catholic convent founded in 1586 by Santa Teresa for the Discalced Carmelites.
- Santa Cruz, Seville - You’re in the heart of the Santa Cruz district, arguably the city’s most beautiful area. It’s certainly the most picturesque, with its cobblestone streets and white and yellow houses.
- Plaza Venerables - The beautiful baroque building you see in this square is the Hospital of the Venerable. Built at the end of the 17th century, it accommodated churchmen weakened by age.
- Real Alcazar de Sevilla - You’re now at the heart of the matter, and the excitement around you confirms it. The red door you see, with a long queue, is the Lions Gate, the entrance to the Alcazar.
- Torre Abdel Aziz - On your left, see the old tower at the corner. It might almost go unnoticed! Yet, it is a remnant of the fortress built by the Almohads around the old city center in the mid-12th century.
- Archivo de Indias - This large square monument is the General Archives of India building. It refers to Columbus’ India, meaning the Americas.
- Catedral de Sevilla - As you’ve noticed, the number of sights per square meter here is impressive! But this is the one you’ve all been waiting for, the splendid Cathedral of Seville.
- La Giralda - This is the famous minaret often discussed. On the site of Seville’s cathedral, there was a small church during the Visigoth era, destroyed when the Umayyads took control of the Iberian Peninsula.
- Puerta del Perdón - Seville - If you choose not to visit, you can still see the Patio of the Oranges here. The door through which you can admire the patio is Puerta del Perdón.
- Plaza de San Francisco - You’ve arrived at the narrow and beautiful San Francisco Square, considered the city’s heart in the 16th century. It hosted major celebrations and housed the main civil authorities.
