La Pinta Origin of Species - This was the trip of a lifetime. We had a glorious time. Everything organized by Metropolitan was spot on. La Pinta’s crew treated us like royalty. Each naturalist gave wonderful information and kept us safe, climbing in and out of the pangas. They were very encouraging to me in my snorkeling forays. I’m not the best but I was able to see so much upon their encouragement. Many thanks to all who helped make this trip possible. Food was great, service was great without being over bearing. Indie, Cathy, David and Dreis made the trip so very special. I felt the ships crew knew all of us and our particular desires. Thank you to all of you

The best travel company anywhere! - My family has traveled extensively around the world and have utilized the services of many tour companies. Metropolitan and Melissa have provided us with an experience that was far and above any that we have had thus far. And we are going back 50 years!. The food and the service was impeccable and any problems that arose were taken care of immediately and with great skill. The chefs went out of their way to cook a vegan meal for my daughter. And they made sure that it was not run-of-the-mill but very special. This is a well oiled machine. Everything went so smoothly and the people are so helpful and friendly! The hiking and snorkeling with the knowledgeable naturalist guides were fascinating and exciting . I highly recommend this company and hope to travel with them again next year.

An experience that deserves to be lived at least once in a lifetime - I've been traveling with my husband. We are a couple from Spain. The organizer of our trip was Anddy Males. I have to say that we are deeply grateful to him because he has organized our trip with a love and care as if it had been for himself. It has been a personalized journey that has gone perfect and we have taken an excellent experience in our heart. So much so that we wanted to meet him in person so we could thank him. He is an excellent professional and even better person. As I said the trip had no setback, we have been in Galapagos, a few days in Quito and Otavalo and the trip has closed with the golden clasp of Masphi Lodge. We will heartily recommend this destination, it has been a very pleasant surprise and especially from Anddy. Thank you, thank you, thank you and I hope to make more trips organized by you.

Galapagos is breathtaking - We just got back from our trip, and it was amazing! Doing the cruise was definitely the best way to see Galapagos. La Pinta was a beautiful boat: the rooms were very spacious with nice bathrooms. The staff was so nice and helpful, and all the excursions were excellent. Anddy from Metropolitan Touring was so nice to work with. He answered every question quickly and with an abundance of information, and made it all very easy and convenient.

A Once in a LIfetime Experience - Melissa, of Metropolitan Touring, helped to plan our wonderful trip. We started in Quito with a tour of the old city and a stay at the Casa Gangotena which was elegant and luxurious. The staff at the Casa could not do enough for us. This is a recurring theme throughout our trip. We then traveled to the Mashpi Lodge in the cloud/rain forest where we had exceptional hikes, sites and experiences. Food was excellent. The naturalist who worked with us, Nestor, was both knowledgeable and kind. We returned to Quito and flew to the Galapagos where we boarded the La Pinta. Our cabin was comfortable, the food excellent and the excursions outstanding with excellent naturalist. All of our needs were addressed. Even a little sprained ankle received attention from the on board doctor who was outstanding. If you are considering the Galapagos, Metropolitan Touring is the way to go.

Wonderful tour with La Pinta - We toured with Yacht La Pinta and also took the half-day tour of Quito the day before. Our experience was superb, and I highly recommend Metropolitan Touring. Melissa organized things for us, promptly answering all our questions and numerous emails. Last minute, my wife wanted to know if the cabins come with hair dryers (they do), and Melissa was quick to answer so we didn’t have to take a dryer with us. The guides for both the city tour and the Galapagos were well informed, friendly and considerate. Our Galapagos guide David was perfect for the role, mixing expert knowledge of nature with humor, banter and concern for us. The Metropolitan organization was first rate: everything ran on time, all the equipment worked, and the cabins were cleaned regularly. The food was tasty and we made friends with the other couples at our table. I don’t understand why I didn’t gain weight. Definitely worth the money.

Ecuador Touring! - This is a great tour company. We did the La Pinta Galápagos island tour, Mashpi lodge, Finch bay, internal flights and transfers with them. Specials thanks to Maria who helped us out along every step including reserving exceptional dinners at Finch Bay and Casa Gangotena. Thank you!

Unacceptable cabin with a foul stench - The tour our family recently embarked on was, in almost every aspect, an incredible experience that would have effortlessly earned a perfect 5-star rating from me. The itinerary was thoughtfully planned, the staff were attentive and courteous, and the activities were engaging and enjoyable. However, there was one glaring issue that significantly marred our overall experience and left an indelible stain on what should have been a flawless trip – the unbearable stench that permeated our cabin. From the moment I stepped into our bathroom, I was greeted by an overpowering odor that was unmistakably reminiscent of a public restroom. The foul smell seemed to suggest the bathroom was situated directly atop a septic tank. Initially, I held onto the hope that this was a temporary issue that would be swiftly resolved, as it was clearly unacceptable by any standard, let alone in a hospitality setting. Unfortunately, my optimism was misplaced. The repugnant odor persisted throughout our stay, fluctuating in intensity but never completely disappearing. There were moments when it was merely unpleasant, but more often than not, it was so overpowering that it was almost unbearable. The stench was so pervasive that our children, who were staying in an adjacent room, refused to enter our cabin without covering their noses in disgust. On the second day, I contacted the reception desk to report the issue. A cabin attendant promptly arrived and attempted to mask the smell with a copious amount of deodorizer spray. However, this only served to exacerbate the problem. The combination of the original foul odor and the artificial fragrance of the deodorizer created an even more nauseating stench that was eerily similar to what one might experience in a poorly maintained public restroom. Frustrated and desperate for a solution, I escalated the matter to the manager on the third day. He assured me that an engineer would be dispatched to "fix" the problem, implying that he acknowledged the issue and believed it could be resolved. However, when we returned to our cabin later that day, I found that nothing had changed. The only difference was that the deodorizer smell was even stronger, and a scent diffuser had been placed on the sink. At that point, it dawned on me that this was not a new problem. The crew was undoubtedly aware of the issue, and I could not have been the first passenger to complain about it. The stench was simply too overwhelming for it to have gone unnoticed. And if it were a simple issue that could have been fixed, they would have done it already. The realization that the ship's management had knowingly assigned us to a cabin with such a severe issue was deeply troubling. It was a blatant disregard for passengers' comfort and well-being, and it left me feeling cheated and disrespected. The otherwise amazing tour was marred by this one significant issue. The persistent and unbearable odor in our cabin not only caused us significant discomfort but also left me with a sense of disappointment and frustration at the ship's management's lack of transparency and disregard for our experience.
