Shanghai - Huangshan (D)

Shanghai - Discover Huangshan and its Ancient Villages over 3 days via the most efficient route.

Meet the guide and driver at 7am. Board the morning bullet train at 8:05am from Shanghai to Huangshan, a journey of 3 hours. Upon arrival at Huangshan Station, the local guide will escort you to the mountain.

Huangshan Mountain - Spend the entire day exploring the mountain. Take the cable car to reach the peak and admire Huangshan’s unique rock formations, diverse vegetation including distinctive pines, and the sea of clouds, as well as the mountain’s hidden beauty. Some trees are over 200 years old. The acclaimed movie “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” was filmed here. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to see the bamboo sea and other locations you might recognize from the movie. Descend the mountain in the evening after enjoying the breathtaking views.

Huangshan - Hongcun Village (B, L)

Huangshan Mountain - After breakfast, continue to explore more wonders of Mt Huangshan, such as Lion Peak, Dawn Pavilion, Stone Monkey Watching the Sea, and various shapes of pines along the path. For hiking enthusiasts, the West Sea Grand Canyon offers an exhilarating route in the Huangshan area.

Hongcun Village - Tangmo Village - Shanghai (B, L)

Huangshan Tangmo Scenic Spot - After breakfast, visit Tangmo Village and engage in classic and traditional activities: Ancient Paper-making and Scripture rubbing. (Entrance fee included, activities fee optional at your own cost.) The Paper-making technology is one of China’s Four Great Inventions. An expert will demonstrate how ancestors made the first paper 2000 years ago, and you will create your own handmade paper.

Finally, the local guide will accompany you to the train station. Departure is at 16:30 from Huangshan, arriving at Hongqiao Station at 19:00. Upon arrival at the Shanghai station, your driver will be waiting in the arrival hall to take you back to your hotel in Shanghai.
