Shanghai - The guide will meet you in your hotel lobby around 09:00 AM. You will be taken to the renowned Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, approximately a 20-minute drive away.

Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall - At the Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, you can explore various textual and graphic files and architectural models, providing a comprehensive understanding of Shanghai’s development.

The Urban Planning Exhibition Hall highlights Shanghai’s urbanization and modernization. By viewing city miniatures and extensive city planning materials, you will gain insights into Shanghai’s past and present. High-tech methods are used to project Shanghai’s blueprint through 2020.

Yu Garden (Yuyuan) - In the afternoon, enjoy a leisurely stroll in the picturesque Yu Garden. Situated in the old town, Yuyuan Garden is the city’s most famous ancient site, known for its clever layout and exquisite architecture. The garden’s treasure, Yu Ling Long (a beautiful jade stone), an artificial hill, is one of the three most renowned peaks in Southern China.

Yuyuan Old Street - Next, visit the Yuyuan Bazaar, also known as Yuyuan Market, located outside Yu Garden in the heart of Old Shanghai City, near the Old City God Temple. The area features many traditional Chinese buildings now serving as commercial stores selling local products, snacks, jewelry, souvenirs, antiques, and more.

Shanghai World Financial Center - Afterwards, visit the Shanghai World Financial Center and ascend to the 100th floor for panoramic city views. It is the world’s 8th tallest building and the 4th tallest in Mainland China. The 100th floor features a 55-meter-long viewing gallery, the second-highest observation deck in China, surpassing the Canadian TV Tower (447 meters) and the Dubai Tower (440 meters).

The Bund (Wai Tan) - Following that, explore the Bund area, a quintessential part of Shanghai. Located on the Huangpu River bank, visitors come to the Bund for its charming riverside scenery and unique Western and Gothic architecture. Free time will be provided to stroll around the Bund and take photos.

Shanghai - Finally, you will be driven back to your hotel, or you may enjoy your own time at nearby Nanjing Road.

Shanghai - The guide will meet you in your hotel lobby around 09:00 AM. You will be taken to the famous Zhujiajiao water town, approximately a 60-minute drive away.

Zhujiajiao Ancient Town - The Zhujiajiao water town is renowned nationwide, with a history spanning over 1,700 years. Covering 47 square kilometers (11,614 acres), this fan-shaped town, often called Shanghai’s Venice, shines like a bright pearl amidst lakes and mountains. Three notable sites in the water town are Kezhi Garden, Qing Dynasty Post Office, and Fangsheng Bridge, which your tour guide will accompany you to visit.

Jade Buddha Temple - After lunch, visit the Jade Buddha Temple. Built in 1882 to house two white jade Buddha statues from Burma, the Jade Buddha Temple is a renowned Buddhist shrine and active Zen monastery. The temple plays a significant role in spreading Buddhism through cultural means, including lectures, library services, Buddhist academic publications, and regular cultural activities.

Tianzifang - Later, conclude the day at Tianzifang, an old-style cultural block featuring distinctive Shikumen buildings with art studios, themed cafés and bars, and handicraft workshops.

Shanghai Pudong International Airport - After the tour, you will be driven to Pudong International Airport for your flight to Zhangjiajie (MU9341 20:05-22:35). The flight duration is approximately 2.5 hours.

Airport Road - Upon arrival in Zhangjiajie, you will be promptly picked up and transferred to your hotel (driver only, no guide).

Zhangjiajie National Forest Park - On this full-day tour, your guide will meet you at 9:00 AM in your hotel lobby in Zhangjiajie city center or Wulingyuan hotel. You will visit various mountain areas, including Tianzi Mountain, where the world’s longest cable car ride takes you to the mountain’s peak, and the unique platform-shaped Yuanjiajie Mountain.

With its magnificent mountain ranges, deep valleys, mysterious caves, lush vegetation, cascading waterfalls, and mist-shrouded stone pillars, Hunan’s Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is a natural wonderland.

Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is home to over 500 species of wildlife and vegetation, including rare monkeys, gingko trees, and thousands of colorful birds. The park’s most notable geographic features are its hundreds of towering sandstone pillars. Fans of Hollywood blockbusters will recognize the stunning landscape as the inspiration for Pandora in James Cameron’s hit movie Avatar.

Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area of Zhangjiajie - The Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area boasts natural beauty where mountains, valleys, forests, caves, lakes, and waterfalls exist in harmony. Over 560 attractions can be found here. The uniquely-shaped peaks, peculiar stones, hidden valleys, wonderful waters, and limestone caves form the ‘Five Wonders’ of Wulingyuan, which are truly worth seeing.

Covering 690 square kilometers (266 square miles), Wulingyuan Scenic Area consists of four parts: Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Suoxi Valley Nature Reserve, Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve, and the newly added Yangjiajie Scenic Area.

Today’s tour will visit the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve area.

Tianzi Mountain - After purchasing the main park entrance tickets, take a shuttle bus (20 minutes drive) to the Tianzi Mountain cable station and walk up 200 steps to reach the station.

Tianzi Mountain Clouds - After a 20-minute cable car ride, you will reach the top of Tianzi Mountain and take another shuttle bus (5 minutes drive) to the Tianzi Mountain central area, offering stunning views of peaks rising one after another. Known as ‘the Monarch of the Peak Forest,’ the top of the mountain provides a full view of the Wulingyuan Scenic Area. Beautiful mountain scenes greet visitors in different seasons, with four wonders: the Sea of Clouds, the Radiance of the Moonlight, Rays of Sunshine, and Snow in winter.

BaiLong Elevator - After visiting Yuanjiajie (Avatar mountain), take a shuttle (15 minutes drive) to the Bailong Elevator. The Bailong Elevator is magnificent, with a total height of 335 meters (1,099 feet), of which 326 meters (1,069 feet) is the running height. 154 meters (505 feet) of the total height is in the mountain wells, and the remaining 172 meters (564 feet) consists of steel derrick and other components. The Elevator includes three parallel sightseeing elevators, each accommodating 50 passengers, with a speed of 3 m/s (accelerated to 5 m/s since 2013). If all three elevators run simultaneously, the one-way passenger capacity reaches 4,000 per hour.

Golden Whip Brook - You will hike for about an hour along the Golden Whip Stream, then take a shuttle to exit the park and return to the hotel. Golden Whip Stream (Jinbian Stream) is famous for its pristine water, verdant mountains, steep cliffs, and serene valley. As a “paradise” for plants, its pathways are adorned with an abundance of flowers, trees, and grasses. It is also a kingdom of animals. Golden Whip Stream is named after Golden Whip Crag, its landmark spot, and runs from Laomo Bay to Shui Rao Si Men (water-surrounded gates).

Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge - After lunch, transfer to the Glass Bridge. Your local expert guide will lead you on an adventure trip in Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, famous among explorers and nature lovers worldwide, featuring typical Zhangjiajie landforms, breathtaking cliffs, lush forests, ancient caves, colorful ponds, and a river running through the canyon. Walk on the world’s longest and highest Glass Bridge in Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon. Hanging over a valley, the glass bridge offers a superb panorama of the entire grand canyon. Enjoy a scenic walk with waterfalls and wonderful views on each side. Standing on it feels like floating in the air.

Zhangjiajie - At the end, your guide will escort you to your hotel in Zhangjiajie or Wulingyuan.

Zhangjiajie - At 9:00 AM, your tour guide will meet you at the hotel lobby and transfer you to Zhangjiajie Tianmen Park.

Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park - Spend 3-4 hours at Tianmen Mountain Park today. You will use the cable car or shuttle bus to ascend the hill, depending on traffic. Tianmen Mountain, known as the “New Legend Of Zhangjiajie,” is the highest point (1,500m) in Zhangjiajie, where you can walk on thrilling cliff-paths and glass walkways, enjoying a bird’s-eye view of the city and beautiful countryside. The landscape here is distinct yet on par with the ZJJ National Park, both offering world-class scenery, making it a must-visit highlight of the city. What is more unbelievable? This single mountain holds 4 World Guinness Records, each overwhelmingly impressive to any visitor. An amazing experience awaits.

Fenghuang County - After lunch, your guide will escort you to Fenghuang, a 3-hour drive covering 220km. Fenghuang (Phoenix) Town, built in 1704, is recognized as a famous national cultural and historical city. The blue flagstone streets, stilted houses, and Miao nationality customs contribute to its unique charm. For the rest of the day, you can freely explore the ancient town.

Fenghuang - Sanjiang. O/N Chengyang village.

Phoenix Ancient Town - Today, enjoy a full exploration of Fenghuang Ancient Town. After breakfast, take a boat along the Tuojiang River, the town’s mother river. The clean river flows slowly along the city walls, with water plants swaying in the gentle waves. Occasionally, mist rises from the quiet green water, creating a fairyland atmosphere. You will then be guided to Wanming Pagoda on the river’s north bank. The hexagonal pagoda, approximately 21 meters (69 feet) high, has seven layers. Copper wind bells hang at each corner of the eaves, and colored paintings and sculptures adorn the pagoda’s body.

After admiring the elegant pagoda, cruise down to the Rainbow Bridge. From the second floor’s windows, enjoy views of green hills, blue water, city walls, red slates, and stilted houses. You can also see several boats moving quietly along the river.

Chengyang Bridge Scenic Resort - After lunch, drive to Sanjiang Chengyang Dong village (4-hour drive, 315km) and tour the village. In the village, you will see the landmark constructions of Dong village, the Wind and Rain Bridge, and the Drum Tower. Constructed with wood and bricks, the Wind and Rain Bridge blends the styles of bridge, corridor, and kiosk into a whole, reflecting the unique Dong style and the wisdom of the Dong people. The bridge was initially built to provide shelter for field workers but later became a dating spot for young people and a famous attraction for visitors worldwide. The lofty pointed tower with upturned eaves signifies arrival in a Dong Village. The Drum Tower, always located in the village center, serves as the political and cultural hub. When the village chief beats the drum on the top floor, villagers stop their work and gather around the Drum Tower.

Chengyang - Longji - Guilin. O/N Guilin.

Chengyang Bridge Scenic Resort - Your guide will meet you in your hotel lobby around 08:00 AM. You will be taken to the renowned Longji terraces, approximately a 90-minute drive covering 100km.

Dragon’s Backbone Rice Terraces - The Longji Rice Terraces stretch layer upon layer from the mountain base to its summit. From the 13th century during the Yuan Dynasty, the local Zhuang people began constructing and using these amazing terraces. Now, the Dragon’s Backbone Rice Terraces cover 66 square kilometers (about 16,308 acres) and span an altitude between 300 meters (about 984 feet) and 1,100 meters (about 3,608 feet). Standing on the mountain, you will be awed by the fields’ patches and curve lines around the mountains. You will then visit the Villages of Zhuang to experience unique Chinese ethnic culture.

Reed Flute Cave (Ludi Yan) - Next, head to Guilin and visit the Reed Flute Cave, featuring a large number of stalactites and stalagmites, forming a luminous underground palace with colorful lights on the cave ceiling.

Elephant Trunk Hill (Xiangbishan) - Continue the Guilin tour to Elephant Trunk Hill, a landmark of Guilin. The hill resembles an elephant stretching its trunk into the water to drink, showcasing nature’s incredible creativity.

Guilin - At the end, your guide will escort you to your hotel, and you will have free time.

Guilin - Yangshuo. The tour ends.

Guilin - In the morning, your guide and driver will pick you up from the hotel around 07:45 AM and escort you to the Zhujiang pier, where you will start the Guilin Li River cruise to Yangshuo (4-star boat with buffet lunch).

Li River - Boarding is scheduled for 9:20 AM, and the entire journey takes about 4 hours. With your guide’s company and interpretation, immerse yourself in the stunning karst landscape of rolling hills, verdant forests, odd caves, and tranquil villages along the Li River. A buffet Chinese lunch will be served on board before reaching Yangshuo at 2:00 PM.

Xianggong Mountain - After disembarkation, drive to see Yangshuo Xianggong Hill. Climb for 15 minutes along a moderately sloped staircase to reach the top of Xianggong Hill. Please inform your guide in advance if you need a walking stick. Situated between the famous Yellow Cloth Shoal and Mural Hill, Xianggong Hill is one of the best viewing platforms in Guilin to appreciate the Li River’s glamour. The supreme view of the meandering Li River making a 180-degree bend attracts countless visitors and photographers annually.

Guilin - At the end, your guide will escort you to your hotel in Guilin or Yangshuo or Guilin airport/train station. End of your 7-day tour services.
