Highly recommended - Everything was excellent. Tour guide, Tom, was knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, accommodating, professional. Highly recommended. Despite slightly inclement weather, the experience made up for it

Shanghai lights - Great little tour for small groups. Tom was very knowledgeable and we learnt a lot about the area’s history. With the hotel collection and drop off it was very relaxing and enjoyable. Got some great photos as Shanghai is very impressive at night. I would recommend.

A must do! - This was by far the best was to enjoy the city in all its glory at night, we were so lucky to have a perfectly clear night to enjoy unobstructed views across both sides of the river, old meets new, the river splitting them, allowing them both to shine respective of one another. We were able to get really good spot on the boat so we didn’t need to move at all, be sure to get there early as everyone rushes to the edges of the boats to get the best views and the locals don’t hesitate to push, especially in the so-called queue area, which is rather chaotic. But it’s so worth the madness to take in the views.

A Great Way To See The City - We took this boat cruise as part of a China tour. The night we went was particularly hot and the boat was quite full. We paid a few extra dollars and we were able to be in an area that had fewer people and the extra $ gave you a drink and something to nibble on. The cruise takes under an hour and gives a great view of the modernity of buildings and lights in Shanghai. Highly recommended and do your best to get a spot at the side of the boat so you can get great photos.

A magical journey through the heart of Shanghai - When it comes to experiencing the vibrant energy and breathtaking beauty of Shanghai, there's no better way than embarking on a Huangpu River Night Cruise. This iconic journey offers a front-row seat to the city's dazzling skyline, where the past and present of Shanghai come alive under the glow of neon lights and starlit skies. The Huangpu River, often referred to as the "Mother River of Shanghai," divides the city into two distinct yet harmonious halves: Puxi, the historic western side with its colonial architecture and the famous Bund, and Pudong, the futuristic eastern side boasting soaring skyscrapers like the Shanghai Tower and the Oriental Pearl Tower. As the sun sets and the city lights begin to sparkle, the river becomes a mirror reflecting the soul of Shanghai. The night cruise lasts about an hour, offering ample time to soak in the views and capture unforgettable memories. Modern, well-equipped boats provide both indoor and outdoor seating, ensuring comfort regardless of the weather. As you glide along the river, you'll be treated to panoramic views of: • The Bund: A stunning stretch of historic buildings illuminated in golden hues, showcasing Shanghai's colonial past. • Pudong's Skyline: A futuristic marvel of towering skyscrapers, including the iconic Oriental Pearl Tower and the Shanghai World Financial Center, lit up in a mesmerizing display of colors. • Bridges and Waterfronts: The river is dotted with beautifully lit bridges, such as the Nanpu Bridge and Yangpu Bridge, adding to the visual spectacle.

Enjoyed the Boat Cruise ride - Visited for boat cruise ride in Huangpu river during Shanghai trip. There are cruise rides every 20 min in evening for 40-45min of each ride. Place was crowded even on weekday evening. Cruise sails through east - west bank of river with picturesque views of illuminated coastline buildings including TV tower & Shanghai. Tower. Usually cruise have 3floor deck with top most floor with open terrace which is most crowded due View it offers. First floor is AC deck with seating and dining options. Tickets for premium area are different Ticketing centre as waiting area and need to stand in queue of respective rides. Overall a good experience to have though there are similar options in all major cities with Rivers

Easy way to see Shanghai by night - Guide was knowledgeable and made getting around very easy. As a time poor solo traveler it delivered what I was looking for. As only person on the tour he tailored discussion to my interests. Definitely possible to sort boat and visit to shopping street without guide but this took all the stress out of it with some bonus history and insights into Shanghai.

Ice experience, expected more - The water town was nice to see but a little disappointed in the tour. It was really a tour but rather a taxi ride to the town with a paid entry into the town and ticket to a very small portion of the great wall. The driver was extremely nice, and prompt for timing.

Do it yourself would be better - From everything I did in China this is the thing I regret the most. I unfortunately booked this for our first day with no experience of the culture and went by the recommendations of the booking. I am appalled they recommended you to give 10 Yuan each for a taxi driver for a tip and 100 Yuan each for the tour guide… Just for context a taxi ride to Shanghai tower from my hotel is 16 Yuan and they recommend me to give 20 on top of that as a tip? Appalling. The boat tour is 150 Yuan each. So in total let’s say the taxis cost you 40 Yuan at a push, the boat 150 and the little train transfer is 10 Yuan that is 200 Yuan for this experience. When they ask for 600 Yuan for it and you to tip 100 per person more…. I will let travellers do the math themselves. The tour guide was ok, but compared to all others we had on our trip even that fell short it just felt like we had to pull information out and it didn’t feel natural or enjoyable. We did get some information about some of the buildings but we kind of expected a bit more for the big price tag and tip recommendations on top of that.

Mr Buller Train please slow down - The boat was good but the tour overall was awful. The tour guide was probably the worst I have ever had. I will only elaborate if you need me but I don’t want to harm anyone’s job. For a start though, after 3 hours he never once referred to me by name and he never told me his. There were only 3 on the tour ! Apart from that I found he lacked respect for a customer that was obviously having trouble keeping up but he kept going like a bullet train. So disrespectful
