-
The Bund - The group will stroll along the Bund to view the 26 buildings showcasing various architectural styles. The Bund is a renowned waterfront on the west bank of the Huangpu River and is considered a symbol of Shanghai. It beautifully showcases Shanghai’s charm as a bustling metropolis that blends a century-old history with a thriving future, making it a must-see attraction. Visitors will see iconic buildings such as the Peace Hotel, Shanghai Customs House, and Shanghai Pudong Development Bank. The tour will also include a visit to the Bund sightseeing tunnel to enjoy the light show. The Bund Sightseeing Tunnel, the first visitor tunnel under the Huangpu River in China, connects the Bund with the Lujiazui Finance and Trade Zone. The journey through the tunnel takes just 3-5 minutes, offering passengers captivating visual effects accompanied by a variety of sounds. The driverless carriages provide a wide view, allowing passengers to feel like explorers.
-
Pudong New Area - As a vibrant district, Pudong offers visitors some of the most modern attractions, businesses, skyscrapers, and shopping malls, all featuring the latest in entertainment, technology, and fashion. The group will walk along the Lujiazui Ring Bridge, an excellent spot for photographing skyscrapers.
-
Shanghai Tower - As the new landmark of Shanghai, the Shanghai Tower stands as the tallest building in the city, reaching a height of 632 meters. The 118th floor houses the world’s highest indoor observation deck, known as the ‘Top of Shanghai Observatory.’ Tourists are encouraged to visit the exhibition hall on floor B1 first, then take the express elevator to the 118th floor in just 55 seconds, with a speed of 18 meters per second. From here, visitors can enjoy a bird’s-eye view of Shanghai and take time to admire the scenery on both sides of the Huangpu River.
In the afternoon, the group will explore Xintiandi, Sinan Mansions, the Former French Concession, Wukang Road, and other lively areas frequented by locals. They will also walk along Yuyuan Old Street, sampling local cuisine and experiencing street life.
-
Xintiandi - Xintiandi is a tourist attraction that preserves Shanghai’s historical and cultural features while integrating Chinese and Western cultures. It is divided into northern and southern parts, with the south dominated by modern architecture and the north by Shikumen old buildings. Comprising Shikumen and modern architectural styles, it has become a trendy pedestrian street in the city center, representing the popular and leisurely lifestyle of the city’s new generation. Outdoor cafes, bars, and romantic restaurants are abundant.
-
Shikumen Museum, Shanghai - This museum is an old Shikumen house from the 1920s that has been preserved and renovated. It is modeled after a typical household from the 1920s, featuring seven main exhibition rooms: the guest room, study room, old people’s room, master room, daughter room, pavilion room, and oven room. The story of a Shikumen family is woven throughout the visit, showcasing the unique Shikumen architectural culture of Shanghai and recreating the living space and lifestyle of Shanghai residents from that era.
-
Sinan Mansions - A delightful place for leisure and entertainment, Sinan Mansions consist of 51 historic garden houses featuring a variety of architectural styles. The area includes boutique hotels, apartment hotels, and enterprise mansions, as well as a wide range of restaurants, bars, coffee houses, tea houses, clubs, convention centers, showrooms, cultural salons, designer shops, and recreational parks. Whether shopping, dining, staying overnight, or appreciating European-style architecture, Sinan Mansions cater to all needs. Visitors will experience a distinct contrast between the Western-style architecture of the early 20th century and the modern structures built since the 1990s.
-
Wukang Road - Wukang Road is 1.17 km long, with each house and detail telling its own story and history. All the buildings on the road are in European style, and walking along Wukang Road gives the impression of being in Europe. The Wukang Building, shaped like a giant vessel, was the most famous English-styled building in Shanghai during the 1930s, designed by the renowned architect Hudec.
The group will then transfer to Yuyuan Old Street to experience the authentic Shanghai atmosphere.
- Yuyuan Old Street - Historically known as Miaoqian Dajie, Shanghai Old Street is a historic business street that combines tourist attractions, shops, entertainment, and cultural exhibits. Its special social attractions and rich commercial background stem from being home to the city’s earliest bank, gold shop, jeweler’s store, wine shop, and tea house. Exploring the old alleys of Shanghai is a wonderful way to discover the city’s traditional culture and experience the real life of the Shanghainese.
Visitors can walk to the Zigzag Nine Bend Bridge, as the number nine is considered auspicious in Chinese culture. Crossing the bridge is believed to bring good luck. The bridge leads to the Mid-Lake Pavilion Teahouse, the oldest teahouse in Shanghai.
- Huangpu River - The Huangpu River divides two iconic yet distinct Shanghai sights: the modern skyscrapers of the Pudong area and the 26 buildings of various architectural styles on the west side. At nightfall, guests will enjoy a one-hour cruise along the Huangpu River to take in the light show and stunning night scenery on both sides, including the Bund, the Oriental Pearl Tower, Shanghai Tower, Shanghai World Financial Center, and Jin Mao Tower.
Afterwards, guests will enjoy a comfortable transfer back to their hotel, wrapping up their memories and saying goodbye at the hotel.
