Lovely experience - Booked No 77 lounge via Priority Pass on a recent trip to Shanghai. Was pleased with the whole experience whilst in the lounge. The food selection wasn't huge but the quality of what was on offer was amazing. They had a noodle bar which was great fun. All in all a lovely 2 hours and our plane left from Gate 77, so it was so convenient too. Great views og the planes. Well recommended.

Great airport, definitely go and visit Shanghai for a bit if you have time! - After reading reviews, I was worried how I would navigate around this airport but it was really easy. We had a 7hr 40 min layover so we put our hand luggage into a locker and hopped on the Maglev train and then opted for a cab rather than tube to continue the journey into Shanghai. Shanghai was amazing and vibrant (we visited early eve) and we thoroughly enjoyed our whistle stop tour. Back in good time for our connecting flight onto NZ!

What I expected - Despite others saying there were no showers we went in them the minute we arrived to refresh from a 12 hour flight from Auckland. Food was fie along with the drinks. Would use again

A Standard Priority Pass Lounge - The No.77 China Eastern Lounge is located at terminal 2, right before the train to the G wing of the terminal. It is a small, standard lounge can be visited by priority pass members. During our visit, the lounge is not busy, and there is ample seating available. The lounge food is standard, but adequate.

Eastern Lounge - A weekend okay lounge, but with limited food and drink options. Not that big, but still worth a visit. Very calm and good work quiet.

Clean but poor selection - Poor selection og food and drinks. I found some Yesterday-made sandwiches and some crackers and nuts. The two wines were not drinkable, thus a cold beer was consumed in stead. However very clean especially in the restrooms.

Beige and Brown resulting in a frown. - Reminiscent of a 70s 747 interior that had been washed in a bath of nicotine. Top of the bottom rung as far as lounges go. Ambience of a waiting room at a pet cemetary. We're we fed and watered? Yes. Was it better than a KFC at the gate,? Debatable. Selection of stock generic rice/noodle/bao available with tepid drink on tap. If I'd paid for the pleasure, I'd have been severely disappointed.

Chine-Eastern Airlines absolutely abhorrent!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! - This China Eastern airlines is awful… we flew from Schiphol to Sydney, then return Sydney to Schiphol - NEVER AGAIN!! Only 1 of the 4 flights had a toilet with soap, the planes were freezing cold, smelled of vomit & toilet, & the food wasn’t fit for my dog!! The worst was lack of understanding of English - staff only spoke Chinese! When we asked at various points for soap they didn’t understand, had to show them in the toilet & even then they thought we meant antibac! If you like pork-rice or chicken-noodles thats great, cos youll get them dinner & breakfast!! Absolutely no wine or spirits but you can have a budweiser beer - doesn’t make sense!! Entertainment nil for English speakers, take your own!

Wow what a dump! - Mostly shut off, I expect for a refurb, or else it’s just too downright shoddy to be used. Tiny selection of drinks in one fridge, some very sad looking sandwiches. Small selection of hot food motorway service standard. Did boil fresh noodles with some Luke warm toppings. Overall description of “Tired” would be over selling it. Not sure when other photos of this were taken but not recent . Wifi password instructions on dog eared paper sign sellotaped to the wall don’t work. My God this place is bad. Considering upgrading to Burger King in the terminal.

Negative experience with very late luggage controls and powerbank discard. - Huge airport but not very customer-oriented. In transit on an international flight they relegated us to a single area where there were only two places to eat (Starbucks and another). The checks they do on luggage are very strict, especially for power banks but not only, which would also be a good thing. It's a shame that they do them at the last minute (in our case they had 4 hours to do them) and this means that they keep your luggage and re-board it (hopefully) on the next one, causing extreme inconvenience to travellers. Sometimes just because of a "suspicion", and in practice this unpleasant "surprise" is only discovered when boarding, where they have them sign a paper to authorize them to open the suitcase, even if it has a TSA lock). This is unacceptable!
