• Yu Garden (Yuyuan) - Meet the guide in the hotel lobby in the morning. Discuss preferences with the guide to customize the tour itinerary. Choose between the popular itinerary below or create a unique one. Typically, the tour begins with a visit to the renowned Yuyuan Garden. Spend a relaxing morning exploring the ancient garden, featuring multiple pavilions, corridors, ponds, rockeries, walkways, and beautiful trees. Enjoy the picturesque views and learn about the rich history from the guide. (Please note, Yuyuan Garden is closed on Mondays. If the tour is booked for a Monday, please select other attractions.)
• Former French Concession - Proceed to the French Concession, the historic center of colonial life. Admire the impressive French-style architecture, learn about Shanghai’s history during the 1840s, and enjoy a pleasant stroll along the walkways lined with beautiful French trees. Then, visit a French-style park to see locals dancing, singing, and practicing Tai Chi. Refresh with a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.
• Shanghai Tower - In the afternoon, visit Shanghai Tower (2,073 feet/632 meters), the tallest building in China. Enjoy a panoramic view of the entire city from the observatory.
• Jade Buddha Temple - Continue the tour with a visit to the beautiful Buddhist temples at the Jade Buddha Temple. Stroll through the temple complex with multiple chambers and impressive Buddha statues. Observe local worshipers and learn about the fascinating religious culture from the guide.
• The Bund (Wai Tan) - Finally, stroll along the riverside Bund to see the stunning city skyline featuring the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Shanghai World Financial Center, and Shanghai Tower. You may choose to stay for the light show if desired.
