These houses are constructed in the traditional Jiangnan style, featuring black-tiled roofs and whitewashed walls. The town is adorned with many bridges of various shapes and styles, with the most renowned being the Fangsheng Bridge. This large stone arch bridge spans the river majestically, offering a panoramic view of the entire town from its vantage point.

Zhujiajiao Ancient Town, the best-preserved Ming and Qing architectural site in Shanghai, is situated near the Dianshan Lake Scenic Area. Dating back 1700 years, this area was once a bustling village market and is affectionately called “the pearl of Jiangnan.” Visitors can enjoy a gondola ride with a guide along the waterways, offering a unique perspective of the historic town.
