Moshi – Lake Manyara National Park
Mount Kilimanjaro - Following a safari briefing, depart at 08:30 hrs from your hotel in Moshi town and travel 130km on a paved road to Lake Manyara National Park, with a packed lunch for game drives. The lake covers a significant portion of the park, with the forest beginning just past the park gate along the base of the Great Rift Valley, and hot springs located to the west. The park is home to tree-climbing lions, buffalo, giraffes, hippos, troops of baboons, as well as flamingos, ostriches, Egyptian geese, and more. After enjoying a picnic lunch, continue with afternoon game drives, and later in the afternoon, proceed to your lodge or campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.
Lake Manyara – Serengeti National Park
Mount Kilimanjaro - After breakfast, travel towards the Serengeti National Park, passing through the scenic high-lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend from the highlands into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its vast plains stretching as far as the eye can see. Head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the park’s richest wildlife habitats, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a vital water source and attracts a wide variety of wildlife representative of the Serengeti’s species.
Arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park.
Dinner and overnight stay at a lodge or campsite, based on customer preference.
Serengeti National Park
Mount Kilimanjaro - Experience the unique opportunity to float in a hot air balloon over the Serengeti Plains (available at an additional cost by prior arrangement). Glide silently above the awakening bush, spotting wildlife and taking in the breathtaking African scenery, crossing rivers and numerous small villages.
After breakfast, embark on a game viewing drive along the Sogore River Circuit, which loops into the plains south of the Seronera River, offering potential sightings of lions, Thomson gazelles, topis, ostriches, and cheetahs. The Visitor Centre near the Serengeti Seronera Lodge and public campsites is worth a visit after the morning game drive. This well-designed center features interesting wildlife displays and a gift shop selling information leaflets and maps of the area. The center also has a shop for cold drinks and snacks, a picnic area, and an information trail around a nearby kopje. Enjoy a relaxed picnic lunch at the center under the shade of giant acacia trees.
In the afternoon, follow the Kopjes Circuit, which goes anti-clockwise around the Maasai Kopjes, often attracting lions and large cobras. Kopjes are weathered granite outcrops scattered across the plains, most of which are miniature ecosystems providing shade and drinking water in pools left in the rock after rains. This makes the kopjes excellent for spotting wildlife during the dry seasons, including lions waiting for animals coming to drink.

Serengeti Plain – Ngorongoro Crater
Mount Kilimanjaro - After breakfast at the lodge, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Stop at Olduvai Gorge, rich in history dating back to the dawn of time. It was here that anthropologists Drs. Lois and Mary Leakey discovered the skulls of ‘Nutcracker Man’ and ‘Handy Man,’ both significant links in human evolution. Arrive in time for lunch at the lodge, and after lunch, descend over 600 meters into the crater for a half-day safari tour. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro National Park hosts a vast array of animals, including herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another major attraction of this picturesque national park is its dense population of predators, including lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. Visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, one of the crater’s main features. A large number of flamingos, hippos, and other water birds are often seen here.
Ngorongoro Crater – Tarangire National Park
Mount Kilimanjaro - After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park. The park runs along the Tarangire River and mainly consists of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation primarily includes acacia woodland and giant African baobab trees, with large swamp areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps attract wild animals during Tanzania’s dry season. Tarangire National Park is known for having some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. This African national park is also home to three rare animal species – the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, and a few Ashy Starlings. After a picnic lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight stay at a lodge or campsite.
Tarangire National Park – Moshi
Mount Kilimanjaro - Enjoy an early morning game drive in Tarangire National Park, followed by breakfast at the hotel. Then transfer back to Moshi, concluding the African safari adventure.

Lake Manyara offers an excellent gentle start to the safari adventure. The charming and enchanting park snakes around a predominately forested travel path, nestled between the shores of a soda water lake and the magnificent rise of the Great Rift escarpment.
The well-known Serengeti National Park draws attention for its vast gatherings of wildlife, particularly its large feline population, and is the site of the Great Migration, where 1.5 million wildebeest assemble in a colossal herd.
The Ngorongoro Crater, which is the world’s largest unbroken caldera situated in an extraordinary geographical location, forms a wondrous basin of about 265 sq. km, with edges reaching depths of up to 600m. At any one time, it hosts between 20,000 to 30,000 wild creatures.
Finishing your itinerary is the Tarangire National Park. The park boasts a spectacular landscape punctuated by baobab trees and offers an awe-inspiring congregation of elephants in the dry season.
