The next step involves fitting the scuba gear and joining our instructor at the private divers’ pool to acquire basic scuba skills and experience the first underwater breath.
Day 2 in the morning: Participants will embark on their first open water dive in the Red Sea, a shore dive at one of our renowned house reefs, either Far Garden or The Temple.
Upon completing this course, participants will receive a diploma from PADI, marking the initial step toward becoming a certified diver. After obtaining this diploma, there is a six-month window to advance to the second stage and complete the certification.
There is no need to restart the Open Water Diver course from the beginning—progress made allows participants to continue directly from where they left off.

Take your first step into the underwater world by joining the PADI Discover Scuba Diving program in Sharm el Sheikh. The Red Sea coral reefs are filled with beautiful marine life, so get down there and check it out! This short introductory program with a PADI-certified instructor includes a theory session, a pool session and one open-water dive in the Red Sea. By the end, you’ll be hooked and ready to continue your diving education.

- Minimum age is 10 years
- Children must be accompanied by an adult
- Diving within 24 hours of flying is not recommended
- All participants are required to complete a health questionnaire prior to diving; some pre-existing medical conditions (e.g. asthma, heart conditions, etc) may prevent you from diving; please consult your doctor
- Dive is subject to weather conditions
- It is recommended that you bring/wear your swimsuit, sunscreen, a hat, towel and water; you may also bring packed snacks
