Jero - one of the BEST guides ever! - My family and I could not have asked for a better English speaking tour guide in Tokyo. Personable and answered all of our questions - great to get a perspective of a westerner who now lives in Japan. Amazing how we were able to get around the main sights in six hours! Highly recommended - you won’t regret it.

Book with confidence. - I have been on multiple private walking tours in many different cities and countries all over the world, I have to say this experience ranks at the top of the tier. From the beginning to the end, Jero is completely engaged in keeping your personal well being a high priority all while showing you the cool places Tokyo has to offer, many you would not find by your self. You will learn about history, cool facts and most importantly you will get a real introduction to the rich culture, dos and dont's and gain an understanding of the Japanese experience. This tour is highly recommended to 1st time visitors and even repeat visitors I guarantee will learn something or see something they will have not seen before. Amazing tour you will only get with Shiny Tours! - Jero was an amazing guide through the incredible city of Tokyo. He provided insight into the hidden gems of this city and took us on a tour we will never forget. He has great respect for the Japanese culture and this is shown as we visited some of the major landmarks in the city. Jero is humorous and friendly and makes the tour an exciting and wonderful experience. It would be a mistake to visit Tokyo and not spend the day with a guide as knowledgeable as Jero. You will miss so many things that only an experienced guide can show you. Jero is thoughtful and considerate and tailors the tour to your group to ensure you maximize your time in Tokyo. I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to explore Tokyo with Jero. You can’t go wrong with Shiny Tours. It may be a new business but it is certainly one of the best you will find. If you want to make sure you see the very best of Tokyo, Shiny Tours is definitely the way to go!

Excellent walking tour - I cannot express how wonderful our private walking tour in Tokyo with Jero was. We are still talking about our day and recalling all of the stops and amazing, unique and increcible sites in such a phenomenal city. Having been on at least 30 private walking tours around the world, I without hesitation recommend Jero. He is the very best that we have ever had. His attention to detail and to planning a schedule that was very well rounded is superior. He was also super attentive and caring every step of the way and being mindful of staying out of the Japanese sun unnecessarily to making sure we stayed hydrated. The whole day sped by and in a city that is so vast and with so much to see, I felt that in a day we were able to get a taste of Toyko and it only made me want to stay longer and explore even more. I miss Japan dearly and thank Jero for helping me to see Tokyo in a way I never would have if it wasn't for his tour. Jero's love and respect for Japan is evident and inspiring. Lastly, Jero's followup after the tour concluded was excellent and wonderful to have, he truly cares and I can only hope every visitor to Tokyo is lucky enough to have a tour with Jero.

Jero is the best!! - We had the absolute pleasure of touring Tokyo with Jero as our guide, and we can’t recommend him highly enough. From start to finish, Jero made our experience unforgettable. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, not just about the major tourist sites, but also about the cultural history and context behind each place we visited. What made his tour stand out, though, were the thoughtful details—he introduced us to local spots we would’ve never found on our own and took the time to teach us about proper etiquette and customs, which made us feel more connected to and respectful of the culture around us. Jero strikes the perfect balance between being informative, fun, and mindful. It truly felt like we were seeing the city with a local friend who wanted us to experience the real Tokyo, not just the highlights. Great personal tour with Shiny Tours - Jero was an excellent tour guide. He has great knowledge of Tokyo and knows some quiet and beautiful spaces that tourists would never find. He found just the right balance between directing us and letting us stop to pursue our own interests. I highly recommend this tour for those looking to get a taste of Tokyo on foot.

Loved this tour - This was such an enjoyable walking tour. Jero’s love of the city is contagious. He showed us major sites and hidden gems, all while sharing insights into Japanese culture and history. It’s a relaxed pace which was ideal with our jet lag. His explanations helped us gain a deeper appreciation of the city and culture. We highly recommend it.

Shiny tours Japan - We had a great time with Jero who guided us through Tokyo like a good friend and not a guide. He is a very personable and competent guide and during our we stayed at Meiji Shrine, Takeshita Street with all the crazy animal cafes, Harajuku with the Secret Garden rooftop, Cat street with all the small ateliers & second hand fashion like Ragtag, Shibuya Miyashita Park and Shibuya crossing with Hachiko. Shinjuku with the red light district Kabukicho (we saw Godzilla!!!), the Kabukicho Tower, Golden Gai and the small alley Omoide Yokocho (piss alley). Again and again he took beautiful photos of us in special places.. Jero not only showed us exciting places, but also gave us valuable insights into the lives of the Japanese. His enthusiasm for the city was infectious, and we felt completely at ease. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to get to know Tokyo in a personal and authentic way! Cheers Joe and Rosie
