Outstanding Driver Prakash Made Our North India Journey Unforgettable - We had the pleasure of having Prakash as our driver for a long journey through North India, travelling from Delhi to Shimla, Manali, Dharamshala, Amritsar and back to Delhi. The distances were long and the mountain roads can be challenging but Prakash handled every day with complete professionalism and care. From the very beginning he was attentive, knowledgeable and always available whenever we needed transport to breakfast, dinner or any additional stop. He shared valuable knowledge about India, including realistic travel times, local culture and important safety tips such as being aware of pickpockets in busy areas. What impressed us most was his calm and professional attitude. Even during stressful travel days or when we as customers had high expectations, he remained cool, patient and solution focused. Prakash frequently went above and beyond his role. When I had an issue with my luggage, he personally went to a store to help solve the problem. He also recommended one of the best restaurants we experienced in India, which turned out to be excellent. One particularly special moment of the trip was when we stayed at a homestay in Dharamshala that is part of his family home. After spending many days travelling together and getting to know him, it felt incredibly personal and authentic to experience a place connected to his own life. It was one of the most memorable parts of our journey. Whenever we stopped at attractions, Prakash always gave clear instructions on where and when to meet and he stayed close to the vehicle to watch over our belongings, which gave us great peace of mind. On top of all this, Prakash was always happy, friendly and had a great sense of humour, which made the long driving days much more enjoyable. After many days travelling together we can confidently say that Prakash is an outstanding driver and guide. We always felt safe, well looked after and genuinely cared for throughout the entire journey. We highly recommend Prakash to anyone travelling in India. He played a huge role in making our trip memorable.

A unique Shimla and Manali tour, indeed! - Outside of India, foreigners probably don't know much about Shimla or Manali. For those in the US, you could say these towns are basically the Indian equivalent to Breckenridge or Estes Park. Coming from Delhi, this was an enchanting trip and allows you to see a side of India that is probably less known. Yes, these are resort towns, but it also gives travelers a chance to really experience the culture, environment, and landscapes. First, my guide, Bholu, was amazing. He was always punctual, respectful, and always puts you first. He is able to negotiate the mountain roads and city traffic with relative ease. Even though he is primarily a driver, he also gets to know you and even taught me some Hindi and gave me pointers about what to do/ not to do. I really appreciate that. I would not have been able to do this trip without him. Neeraj, the manager, also maintained constant communication to ensure everything went as seamlessly as possible. The tour can be customised to fit your needs. So while the listing says it will visit Chadwick Falls and the shawl industry in Kullu, I opted out. You do have the option to paraglide (which I also opted out for personal reasons) and white water raft. Then you can have bragging rights for rafting in the Himalayas. These are both additional expenses and also are based upon your preferences. Rafting can range from maybe 7 to 14 km in length, with 10 km being the most popular. I would say the 10 km route is mostly Class I and II, but some isolated spots would probably qualify as Class III rapids. The cost for this was ₹10,800 and excludes photos/GoPro. Paragliding, should you choose, is ₹3,500. Of course, some of the activities may change based upon season. When I went, Rohtang Pass was closed due to snow. Going to Koksar via Atal Tunnel was the alternative. The permit cost an additional ₹5,400. While an unanticipated cost (even though the permit for Rohtang Pass would have been a surcharge also), the views and scenery were worth it. Essentially, you will still visit all of the places identified in the itinerary. But be advised that some places are not handicap-friendly and may require hikes up steep hills. The hotels were adequate and not known to me until arrival. They offer basic accommodations. Since these are more geared toward Hindi tourists, there is a little bit of a language barrier. But at the end of the day, I got what I needed, so no complaints there. I don't know if they change hotels for each trip, but don't be surprised if you're a bit far from the main spots in Shimla or Manali. Overall, an excellent experience. But I would impart a recommendation for the listing itself, or at least an advisory for future travelers. The listing discloses that 4 breakfasts and 4 dinners are included with this package. I was expected to pay ₹880 for my 2 dinners at the Shimla hotel and fended for myself in Manali. The Manali hotel had a menu that surcharged for breakfast, meaning I had to buy an additional 2 breakfasts from a bakery and stall to reduce costs. So quite a few meals were not actually included with the trip price. While this did not affect the experience significantly, accurately disclosing this would have been nice. I recommend that the listing accurately displays included meals so as to not mislead customers in the future. All in all, this is an excellent tour and I had an excellent driver/guide/friend in Bholu. I recommend this tour for anybody wishing to experience the Himalayas and avoid to 40 C + temperatures that persist in Delhi.

Absolutely amazing . Blown away . - Had an unforgettable tour in the Himalayas! Prakash, our driver, was incredible—super friendly and helpful. Nothing was ever a problem for him, and he made sure we felt safe and comfortable the entire time, even on those winding mountain roads. His local knowledge really put us at ease. We’ll definitely be back for more adventures. Highly recommend! I love India now because of this tour and Prakash. Meeting his beautiful family was one of the highlights. What an amazingly beautiful part of India .

Terrible - I wish I could claim my money back. It was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. Every tourist trap was involved, and in the end I was blamed for anything that was even slightly out of the ordinary.
