A wonderful snorkel experience with Omar and Hussein. - Thank you to Omar and Hussein for a wonderful day on the water. We were able to see many dolphins and had the opportunity to snorkel with them as well. We saw plenty of fish and coral and the amount of time dedicated to snorkeling was perfect. Support local business and hire these guys for your excursion. Giving it a 10/10

Must Visit! - What a beautiful day! Worth every penny! We really recommend you book through this organization. The providers of this day trip are a group of friends from locals who share this vision together and whom we have warmly supported. We were warmly looked after, were picked up from home, after snorkeling (beautiful!) freshly sliced fruit was served on the boat and the island tour through the villages was totally nice made, we felt safe and well looked after at all times. At lunch we were served local cuisine, very delicious and so much different food. The tour through the slave cave was also really worthwhile and the exchange with Omar, Hussein and Mohammed was really enriching, as Omar is a local (voluntary and unpaid) young politician for girls who have become pregnant young or for Women empowerment and community work. 10/10 recommend!

Must do excursion! - Really excellent and well run trip. From pick up to drop off the trip was smooth. Omar snorkeled with each of us individually since we had not snorkeled before which made the experience more enjoyable and relaxing. Omar was also very knowledgeable about Diani beach/Kenya and provided a lot of history and great insight. The lunch we had was amazing as well. Loved seeing a lot of dolphins and walking Wasini island. Highly recommend this experience!

Fantastic Experience - We had the most amazing day with Omar and Hussain and the boat crew! We were picked from our hotel and had a comfortable trip to Shimoni, where we took a traditional Dhow to see the dolphins and snorkel on the reef. We saw a group of dolphins jumping, which was wonderful. We then went in to the reef for snorkelling which was just fab, the marine life in the Indian Ocean was just unbelievable! Even saw an eel hiding in the coral and Nemo and Dory! The journey was a tad bumpy and although I am normally ok, I have to admit I fed the fish a few times 🤢 We took a visit to Wasini island where we were welcomed by locals, and were signing with some of the school girls! On the way back we were delighted to sing along with the boat crew who treated us to some Kenyan songs and let us share some of our Scottish ones 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Lunch is prepared and was some of the tastiest food I have had in Kenya, home cooked and we shared our meal with our hosts. After lunch a short drive to the shimoni slave caves which was a short history lesson of the local area. At around 4pm we began the trip back to our accommodation with the lovely Mohammad who indulged us with some loud music to sing along to. Omar and the team were lovely hosts and I would recommend this trip to anyone.

Amazing day! - Fabulous day out with Omar, Hussein and his boat crew. We saw many dolphins right away and once we were snorkelling we couldn’t count the amount of fish, types of corals and other sea creatures. (Indian Ocean can be choppy but the guys have life rings to help you rest). Visit to the island and much information on the area and its people. Delicious lunch with many options (even for veg me). A wee stop at the Shimoni caves was very interesting. Plus safe transport there and back with Mohammed. A fabulous day. Definitely recommend Omar and his crew. We’ll be back!

Great tour company - Enjoyed my experience with Hussein and team. My family and I had a great time. They were very accommodating and ensured that we were okay throughout. Do bring glass bottles as they don’t accept plastic bottles to save time and ask for a life vest if you are scared of the ocean as the trip to and from the marine park can get bumpy.

My no.1 Kenyan experience! - Where do I begin? My first trip to Kenya and this was by far my favourite experience! My first time in a boat on the ocean and snorkelling. I was lucky enough to book through and speak to Omar who was incredibly accommodating and our guide for the day was Ali - a wonderful human being who was kind, friendly and funny and made our experience even better by joining in our photos and dance videos! Everything we did in this tour was incredible. I am already counting down to the next trip to Kenya. If you are keen to do this, I recommend these guys!

Wonderful Day in Wasini with Best Guide Ever - I was recently traveling in Kenya with my son, who is 11. While the rest of the trip was all arranged ahead of time, we were on our own to find activities in Diani. We arrived in Diani late afternoon and knew we wanted to do a snorkeling/boat tour but had no idea where to start. After being barraged by men on the beach who were eager to sell us their own discounted version of the trip, we went back to our hotel room that evening and I consulted Trip Advisor. Right away, I knew this would be the best way to book and landed on this specific tour operator because of the rave reviews. Booked with a few clicks and had our trip set to go for early the next morning. I can't say enough good things about this trip and Omar, the operator. Omar is a young guy with fantastic business sense and an amazing attention to detail. We were picked up on time by a taxi with a friendly driver who took us to the launch (about an hour's drive). There, at the entrance to Kisite-Mpunguti Marine National Park and Reserve, Omar was waiting for us. He took care of the fees at the office and then we went across the street to the dock. There was a boat waiting for us. As it turned out, we were the only ones booked on the tour that day so we had the guide and captain all to ourselves. It also showed me how quickly Omar had been able to put the tour into action given that I had booked it fewer than 12 hrs before our departure! We had a wonderful boat trip around Wasini Island. Both the guide and the captain were very motivated to try and find the school of dolphins for us to see. They also pointed out interesting things to see and shared about the culture/history/landscape. We arrive in the Marine National Park area and got geared up in snorkel equipment. Overboard we went! We spent some time on the sandbar and then got serious about snorkeling. Omar stayed within feet of us the entire time, and had a buoyant ring that we could use for resting. He led us to different areas of interest and pointed out amazing things for us to see. A couple of times, he spotted octopuses and we were able to watch them changing colour and texture to blend into the reef. Omar also took my son's camera down to the bottom of the reef to take closeup shots for him since he didn't know how to dive with the snorkel. At every point, Omar was watching out for the safety of my child, and also ensuring that he was having the best possible experience. We then heard from the captain that dolphins had been spotted, so we hauled ourselves back into the boat to go see dolphins. That was amazing. But it was like safari, hunting for dolphins and hoping they'd pop up somewhere close so we could see them again! We returned for more snorkeling on the reef, which was really wonderful. And then we headed for another boat ride — this time to Wasini Island itself. The captain had cut up a bunch of fruit and we all had a delicious snack enroute. On Wasini, we were able to take a walk around the island and tour a Swahili village. We learned how the people live and earn their living on the island. We visited the school, which was closed for holidays. We learned how they cultivate seaweed and also how they are working to regrow the coral for the reef. It was a casual stroll through the village and when we arrived on the other side, the captain was there with our boat to pick us up. We returned to the mainland and said goodbye to our captain. Then we walked a few blocks to the restaurant where we had the best meal we encountered during our 2 weeks in Kenya. The chapatis were a dream. All the dishes were wonderful in this roadside restaurant. We were very impressed. We then walked to the Shimoni Caves to see the caves that had been used to imprison enslaved people before they were shipped off to the slave markets in Zanzibar. I avoided this part of the trip because I cannot do bats, but my son went with Omar and said it was really cool. And that was the end of our day tour. Omar walked us back to the original parking lot where our driver was waiting to take us back to Diani. It was a wonderful day. Everything went off without a hitch even though we weren't really sure what to expect. Omar was a delight. He was so professional and enthusiastic and eager to provide an amazing experience. When he saw that my son was struggling with his sandals because of a sore toe, he immediately took my son's sandals off and gave him his own flipflops to wear instead and led us away with my son's sandals in his hands. No big deal. Just kindly solved it and moved on. I was so impressed. We have so many wonderful pictures from that day. Omar is in many of them, and others he offered to take for us. We had so much fun, had our snorkeling dreams come true, and felt very safe the entire time. I shared this very detailed summary of our day because I know it's sometimes tricky to book when you aren't sure what the day will look like. I hope I've been able to convey that Omar is definitely the guy you want to book with for a Wasini Trip. You won't regret it! It was the highlight of our trip to Kenya.

Unforgettable trip to discover the sea - Me and my boys had a wonderful day at the sea together with Omar and the crew. It was an excellent experience. Omar made everything for our comfort, security and that out day would be the best in every way. We were able to see the dolphins and had a fantastic time discovering the corals and the sea life together with Omar. After getting some refreshing fruits we carried on to the sand banks to walk around a little in the calm crystal blue water and enjoy the fantastic view. Before the end of the day we went to eat some local food and it was the best food at our holiday so far! Excellent fish! At the end we stayed to see the slave caves and heard the history about the caves. In every moment this trip was fantastic and would defiantly go with Omar for the best experience! Thanks guys for an amazing day // Elisabet
