Drifting, a cultural phenomenon that began in Japan, has gained global popularity. Enthusiasts from around the world now travel to Japan to immerse themselves in the authentic Japanese drifting experience.
Participants have the opportunity to ride as a passenger in a genuine JDM drift car on an officially organized circuit. These events are local, showcasing truly authentic cars, and typically, tourists are not present, offering a genuine glimpse into the local Japanese drift scene.
Each participant is guaranteed one round (approximately 8-10 minutes) of an exhilarating drift car experience, with the possibility of additional rides depending on the day’s schedule. Spectators can also enjoy the live action from the stands. Helmets and gloves are provided; participants are asked to wear a long-sleeve shirt, long pants, and sneakers (no sandals) for the ride.

This is among the first official JDM drift car experience activities in Japan, brought to you by Matenro Drift Racing. Participants will have the chance to explore the heart of Japanese drift culture by attending a local drift car meet. The activity includes the unique opportunity to ride along in a drift car, fully immersing you in the excitement of drifting. For your safety, helmets and gloves are provided at no extra cost, ensuring a secure experience. If you choose not to ride, you can still enjoy the spectacle of drifting up close or from the stands.
All events are officially organized by a JDM drift team, attracting true drift car enthusiasts and fans. Typically, there are no tourists, as we introduce you to the authentic local Japanese drift scene. We can also capture photos and videos of your experience in the car.
