Lake Yamanaka is the only lake among the Fuji Five Lakes with a natural outflow, and it is the largest but shallowest (max depth 13.3m). Known as “Swan Lake” due to swans that migrate here from February to April to breed. It is part of the UNESCO World Heritage site “Fuji-san, Sacred Place and Source of Artistic Inspiration” (registered June 22, 2013). -
