Great experience. - Quite the hike to the monkeys. The monkeys act like you are invisible. Calming experience on my trip.

A superb tour - Great day out. It is a long day but absolutely worth it! Walk to get to monkey park is about 45 mins (if average fitness and uphill (although gentle for most of the way). Regular stops that break up the long journey and plenty of time to enjoy everything. We saw so many monkeys! They were everywhere and plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. Lunch was delicious!

Nature and animal lovers - this is a must do tour - This tour was well worth it. Although a long drive from Tokyo to Nagano, we had 2 stops on the way (rest stop and lunch). Adequate time was given at each stop, and lunch was very enjoyable and authentic. The snow monkey park was definitely a highlight and thoroughly enjoyed watching the monkeys interact with each other, grooming or playing. Plenty of opportunities to take photos or videos and all visitors that I observed were respectful. The walk up the mountain to the hot springs took approximately 30minutes and there was plenty of snow and ice, as well as sloshy mud during our visit. Highly recommend this tour if you'd like to experience seeing snow monkeys in their natural habitat.

Monkey snow park - We had a great time at Monkey snow park. However, guide had a very bad English pronunciation.. The ride was around 4 hours in one way.

Snow Monkeys March 2025 - A must do and must see tour. If you do nothing else, this is a magical experience. Up close and personal, to be so close to these wonderful creatures. The trek to the hot spring is quite arduous but you will be rewarded. Highly recommended.

Long and Exhausting Day - Well Worth the Angst - Departed Tokyo at 8.00am and arrived back at 7.45pm. The bus trip to the destination is LOOOONG (approx. 4 hours) and an additional 45 mins for lunch. Once arriving at the Snow Monkey Park, there is still an additional 2 -3 km's of walking before seeing a wonderful spectacle. Monkeys galore and all very playful. Because of the distance away from Tokyo, we didn't seem to have enough time to enjoy being amongst the monkeys. They seemed to be full of energy. The "English speaking" guides onboard the bus tried very hard to keep us entertained and did a good job with explanations etc. Our trip was the day after a lot of snow and therefore the walking trail was very slippery and muddy, thus, a slow and exhausting walk. Was it worth it? Absolutely.

Snow monkeys and hike tour - It should be described as hike and Snow monkeys. Challenging 45 minute hike and very rushed. Not relaxing from that point of you. Return directions to location of bus. Both on the way there and the return trip
