Plenty to Learn, Plenty to Drink - Sake is one of my favorite drinks, so when I saw this tasting, I knew we had to do it. Our guide Tadashi was very knowledgeable about sake and thoroughly explained the differences between each type. Each tasting had a pretty generous pour, so be prepared for a little buzz. Would highly recommend this for anyone who loves sake (or wants to love it)!

Very informative sake... - Very informative sake tasting experience with Max! As someone who likes sake but is unfamiliar with the terms used to describe it, this class was perfect. I plan to use some of the things we learned in the class to further explore different types of sake.

Great introduction to sake - Tadashi was very knowledgeable about sake. Very interactive approach. He talks about the history of sake, how to know the difference between each that at the end you'll know what you like.

From Sake disaster, to Sake Master - A Unique Sake Tasting Class in Proper English - Me and my wife attended this wonderful experience, we love sake but we never know how to order it besides from "Dry/Sweet/Neutral". This tasting class is great for beginners and experienced wine & spirits connoisseurs, Joe made sure our small (4 people) group were familiar with other kinds of tastings (such as wine) before he started (very accommodating, he told us otherwise they adapt to beginners also), He explained the basics and more about sake production, the different variants, classification pairings (we had a small japanese snack platter with various kinds of flavors). In total we tried 12 different Sakes both hot and cold, different qualities and paired up with different snacks. Joe taught us how to drink sake, how to order sake, how to heat sake, price points , how to detect a rip off bottle (marketing scam), he recommended places to buy great sake deals in Tokyo and restaurants that carry good Sake selections. We love Japan, its culture and its people, we speak beginner Japanese and try to speak to Japanese people in their language out of respect always, but in this kind of activities with technical terms we did appreciate that Joe spoke english (native english) compared to other activities we attended on our trip to Japan. Do not wait to book its worth every penny. PS. have a vast breakfast/lunch before the tasting, or just have small sips of each sake, not the whole glass, otherwise you will end up pretty buzzed up in the middle of the day XD (we didn't have breakfast on that day).

Fun, informative and a boozy experience!! - This was a great experience. We learned a lot about sake, met some lovely people and drank A LOT of sake. They weren’t joking when they said it’s good idea to have eaten a meal before you start the experience. This was our favourite experience in Tokyo. Highly recommended.

Great sake experience - This was exactly what I had hoped for on a sake tasting experience! I knew nothing about sake before but Max taught us a lot and we tasted more sake than I had thought we would. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone wanting to learn about and taste different types of sake.
