Casual fun way to eat and see Shinjuku - Casual, fun way to see and eat a lot in the Shinjuku area. Our guide Kari was great - like hanging with a friend that was a local. Even on a busy Saturday night we our way through the city for some great sights and good - even dessert as a nice finish.

Amazing introductory tour to Shinjuku food and night life! - Had an awesome experience on the tour with Yuma, my guide. It ended up being essentially a personal tour, which was lucky for me! Yuma was very kind and not only took me to some cool places to check out, but around Shinjuku explaining the area in general which was very helpful, as it was my first time in Tokyo. Would highly recommend this tour for a great introduction to the area!

A group of one tourist and one tour guide around Shinjuku - I had a lovely walk with Kyle through the various areas of Shinjuku. I was the only one on the tour, so I had exclusive access. Kyle was very open about his experiences in Japan and his background. We had some tasty nibbles and drinks in one of the many Yakitori places in the tiny alleys of Omoide Yokocho. Be sure to try the Hot-sake-overflowing-in-a-little-bamboo-box. It was perfect on a cold day. We proceeded to tour around the Kabukicho area, which I hadn’t heard of before. Our second food stop was at a seafood place where we had a number of little grilled bites including whole little fish (kind of like sardines). I tried it, but it’s not really my thing. Since we were ahead of schedule, we had a brief spin through the Hanazono Shinto Shrine. Kyle was full of suggestions for other things to do in and around Tokyo and even pointed me at the Railway Museum in Ōmiya. We ended the tour at a little Taiyaki shop, where I declined the red-bean paste in favor of the very kid-friendly chocolate. I’m a kid at heart anyway. As a bonus, he pointed me at the Don Quixote store as a great place to shop for souvenirs. All-in-all, a very pleasant experience.

Our guide was nice and... - Our guide was nice and fun. However, the overall experience itself was poor. Only went to 2 restaurants for food and the food was mediocre. Dessert was taiyaki.
