Welcome to the Darkside - Daniel C gave our group a great tour. I often fantasized Japan as a paradise. When there is light there will be dark. Seeing the dark side of Shinjuku, I don’t think any less of Tokyo but I appreciate it more. Daniel C showed us Godzilla Street, and Golden Gai and other parts that really opened not only my eyes but the eyes of the entire group. 10/10 would recommend this tour and if you can Daniel C, I would 11/10 recommend

Great Start to a Great Vacation - I took this tour with the tour guide named Danny, and he was great! He is funny along the way, and super friendly. His English is great and he really gives you a deep insight into the Kabukicho area. I highly recommend this. I did this during my first day in Japan, and it really helped me get the lay of the land. Highly recommend.

Learn and be very surprised! - Three plus hours of rigorous fast paced adventure. As a former student in Japan much new was shared and demonstrated… English and Spanish too
Simply the best researched history tour of This to at night
Danny is numero uno as our pleasant helpful guide

Eye opening tour - Reall interesting view of the dark (read seedy) side of Tokyo. Danni was a great guide and had some eye opening insights to aspects of Tokyo life I would not have had a clue about. Highly recommend.

Underground Japan - It was me, wife, son 12 and daughter 13. We were a little cautious on this tour due to the content but our guide Charlie was great making us aware if things might be inappropriate for kids. It was an interesting tour to learn about Japanese nightlife. Very much recommend!

An Educational Night in Shinjuku - Danny was great! He gave tons of insight into some of the less glamorous side of Shinjuku! I wasn’t sure what to expect when I booked the tour and was very glad I did it. I was able to see and understand the less rosy reality & challenges faced here in Tokyo and across Japan.

Fascinating - This tour was conducted with a high level of knowledge by the tour leader Daniel. He was exceptional in explaining the local culture and knew the area of the tour backwards.

Incredibly disorganized, zero customer support, and a complete failure of basic service. - Of the two experiences we had booked for a day in Tokyo, this was the only one that completely fell apart—and entirely due to the company's poor planning and nonexistent communication.
The other tour provider we booked with sent clear, detailed instructions, including exact subway exit directions from the arrival station, and even included video clips showing how to reach the meeting point. They clearly understood that Tokyo—especially Shinjuku Station—can be overwhelming, chaotic, and confusing, particularly for first-time visitors. This company, by contrast, offered none of that. No directions. No visuals. Just a basic meeting point that was very difficult to find amid the construction and massive crowds.
To make matters worse, our train was slightly delayed—something totally outside our control. We arrived just a few minutes late, but the group was already gone. No one waited. No one contacted us. No support was available—at all.
There was no active phone number, no live chat, no staff on-site, and no way to reach anyone in real time. If there had been a way to get help, we could’ve possibly caught up with the tour at one of the later stops. Instead, we got a message hours later saying they "waited" (clearly not for long) and offering a slot for another day—which was useless, as we had a tightly packed itinerary.
And of course, no refund. No accountability. No consideration for delays, traffic, or first-time travelers trying to navigate a foreign city.
This was supposed to be a highlight of my birthday. Instead, it was a disaster that ruined the day and cast a shadow over our trip to Japan.
Avoid this company. They clearly don't care once they have your money. Book with someone else who actually understands how to support travelers.
