Stroll through the Siq, a long, winding sandstone canyon leading to the magnificent Treasury. Explore the city, including the Street of Facades, the Roman Theater, and the Royal Tombs. After the visit, depart Petra for Wadi Rum.

Wadi Rum Protected Area - Recently designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, Wadi Rum showcases exceptional natural beauty and cultural importance. Inhabited since prehistoric times, it gained fame from Lawrence of Arabia, who stayed there during the Arab Revolt of 1916 against the Ottomans. It is Jordan’s largest desert and one of the world’s most stunning desert landscapes. From the terrain, flora, and fauna to the sites and Bedouin culture, there is much to experience in Rum, whether on a jeep tour, camel trek, hike, or hot-air balloon ride. Kerak Castle - Enjoy breakfast at your camp. Take a morning tour of Wadi Rum, covering the highlights for 2 hours in local off-road vehicles operated by the Bedouins, or opt for a balloon ride (requires prior booking, payable separately). Depart Wadi Rum for a 3-hour journey to Kerak Castle.

Kerak Castle is a vast medieval fortress located in al-Karak, Jordan. It is one of the largest castles in the Levant. Construction began in the 1140s under Pagan and Fulk, King of Jerusalem. The Crusaders referred to it as Crac des Moabites or “Karak in Moab,” as noted in historical records.

2-day excursion: Day 1 kicks off with a picturesque drive to Shobak Castle, a striking hilltop fortress offering panoramic views and rich Crusader history. The journey then leads to the renowned Petra, where visitors stroll through the Siq to the awe-inspiring Treasury and explore its rock-hewn tombs, temples, and ancient streets. The day concludes at Wadi Rum with an exhilarating jeep safari across expansive red dunes, a mesmerizing sunset, and a traditional Bedouin dinner, followed by an overnight stay beneath the stars. Day 2 starts with a tour of Kerak Castle, one of the largest and most remarkable Crusader fortresses in the area, before heading back.
