- Tha Phae Gate - On the way towards the old city’s eastern gate we’ll bike through many of the city’s quaint lanes. Tha Phae gate was once the entrance through which traders brought their wares into the city. At this beautifully restored gate learn about Chiang Mai’s history as a trading hub.
- Somphet Market - From Tha Phae Gate bike to a nearby Somphet Market. Wander through the market learning a bit about Chiang Mai food and taste a few fruits and sweets while you are at it.
- Wat Chiang Man - The next stop on the bike tour is Wat Chiang Man, Chiang Mai’s oldest temple, built in the auspicious Northeast corner of the old city. This is where the ancient Marble and Crystal Buddha images are enshrined.
- Wat Chedi Luang Varavihara - Next on the bike tour is Chiang Mai’s grandest monument. Wat Chedi Luang was built to house the ashes of a king and was once the home of the Emerald Buddha (now resident at Wat Phra Kaew in Bangkok). It is now the home of the City Pillar and 3 auspicious dipterocarp trees which provide protection to the city.

- We enjoyed learning the history of Chiang Mai and doing it in a fun way! I would say this tour is about 50% riding and 50% history (a perfect combination). We stopped at quite a few places (including a smoothie stop!) that you wouldn’t think to stop at if you were exploring on your own. Our guide, Tui, was friendly and knew the way around hidden alleys and busy streets very well. I would recommend this tour to anyone looking for an active way to learn history of Chiang Mai. It is not too physically intense and the staff provide water and adjust based on your preferences. Fun!

Great introduction to Chiang Mai’s Old City - I had a lovely morning of history, temples, and local fruit with my tour guide, A. Most importantly, I felt safe riding around the city with her. It’s been a few years since I last rode a bike so I was a little wobbly at first, but A made sure I was okay and checked in on me throughout the tour. I really appreciated how many small alleys we rode through instead of the major streets! (There were a few sections on bigger streets too, though.) A’s directions were loud, clear, and easy to follow. She taught us about each of the sites we visited and actually gave a more detailed market tour than I got during the visit to a market I did as part of a Thai cooking class. I definitely saw more of Chiang Mai with A than I would have on my own.

A morning of exercise, history and conversation - Great way to tour Chaing Mai with a thorough and friendly guide. I was the only one on the tour and the conversation and interaction was set to my interests and the pace I was comfortable with. Recommend

Great Bike Tour of Chiang Mai Old City - This was a great bike tour of the old city in Chiang Mai. The guide was very informative and expert at navigating us through the roads and alleyways of Chiang Mai. He gave us a brief history of Chiang Mai, we visited two temples, and visited a street market for some snacks. The pace was manageable, and the bikes were in great condition. The guide also gave a restaurant recommendation for a delicious lunch. I recommend this tour!

Great trip easy riding at a pace to suit all - Great trip! The guide was very pleasant had excellent knowledge of the area and its history.
The bikes had been well maintained and came with a helmet and large bottle of water
Using the back streets to get around avoided most of the traffic and gave a good insight into the area.
Guide spoke perfect English and we went to a number of temples with time to take pictures and look around

Loved It!!! - The biks tour was a fun way to get around town and visit key places. Our guide James (007) spoke clear English and was very knowledgeable in Thai history. Learning and understanding what you are looking at makes the visuals even better. The bikes were in great condition.

Very good bike ride Chiang May. - Nice bike ride around old town of Chiang May. Owner/guide Kitty was very informative on all kind of topics. Do this ride on the first day of your visit and you will know the city for the rest of your stay.

Would not recommend - I accidentally booked the wrong date, which was after my return flight. When I showed up on the date I thought I booked, I explained my mistake. There were only 3 people booked that day, but they refused to let me switch the day or give a refund. Needless to say, I cannot recommend a tour that treats its customers so poorly.
