Full day northern Thailand sightseeing - Yes it's a long day. Start around 07.0p and back around 21.00. however how else will one see 7 beautiful stops as we drove from Chiang Mai right up to the Golden Triangle and the boarder of Thailand, Myanmar (Burma) and Laos. Our guide was very good and gave a explanation on each stop. Lunch was a Thai set menu, loads of food and was very good. Cold water provided and a comfortable van for traveling. The drive back though long, was worth the days visits and we made a stop for dinner.

Chiang Mai holiday - We enjoyed this tour. It was full on and a long day but worth it. Tour guide Manny was very informative and enjoyed her role. We had a great mix of people which added to the enjoyment. The stops were great. The long neck village was interesting and walk around was enjoyable. The White Temple was beautiful, but a little crowded. The Blue Temple was also pretty and the Black Temple museum was really nice and different and interesting. The boat trip was really nice and showed the where the Triangle of Thailand, Myanmar and Laos were sitting on the Mekong River. It was a really wonderful tour 😍 Thanks Manny for a wonderful day out.

Long exhausting but very nice day. - Longnek village was more monkey watching. Unfortunately has nothing to do with their villages or culture, put on a meadow some cultures next to each other, who put words there in the morning and in the evening they can go home, boat trip was also a little disappointing, 100 meters to the left and to the right, but for the rest still had a very nice day !!

Long day of driving but worth it for what you see - Full day of activities. We were out almost 15 hours. Great experience but be prepared for a lot of time in a van. The white temple was amazing, the blue temple was beautiful, lunch was ok - buffet next to white temple. Long neck people - wow!! While it was touristy, it was an experience of a lifetime. Short visit but worth it. The golden triangle was neat to see but it was a lot of driving just to ride a boat for about 30 mins to see the borders. Overall, worth it, just be prepared.

Good - This is a nice tour but the drive is a lot so if you have the time, try to stay overnight in Chiang Rai to make your day easier. Yes you can sleep in the car, but the ride is super bumpy and it’s not easy to do. I also feel like looking back, it was better to pay the extra money and do a private tour. Everything felt rushed and there were certain things we may not be interested in and others took longer there so we’re forced to stay extra. They started us off at the Hot Springs, it’s nice but it’s just a small fountain thing and we stopped their for an extra 15 minutes for no reason. The White Temple is gorgeous, 100% worth the stop and NOT a tourist trap. Our guide was nice and even showed us the best places to get the ideal pictures. The food was average on the tour and it was cold, not a highlight for sure. The Blue Temple was our second stop and we were awed by the Buddha statue and of course the temple itself. It’s definitely not as crowded as the White temple. We had stopped in at a Karen village, it was nice to see and understand local culture but it felt like all of our tours made this one stop so if you’re doing multiple tours it’s gets redundant. We then stopped at the black temple which is actually a museum. It’s beautiful and they have a lot of different buildings to look at but we barely had time to checkout the main building. The art is interactive so if you scan the code you can watch it become 3D and move. They provide free wifi so that everyone can experience it. We then drove an hour to the Golden Triangle which is an awesome concept as you are at the point of Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos. But our guide was HORRIBLE. He kept making dirty rated R jokes and there were kids on board. For example, he said “everything is cheap in Myanmar besides the women.” It was really uncomfortable. He was so busy making jokes, that he didn’t even bother to tell us when we got to the tip of the triangle where all 3 connect. We only figured it out because the boat started to turn back. Horrible experience. Our viator guide gave us average information about each spot in the car but I honestly felt like it was fairly generic and a wiki search was better to truly understand the value of each of these stops. If you’re traveling to Chiang Rai and want to do a tour, I’d recommend you either go private or ask a local to set you up with a driver for cheaper as you’ll enjoy the experience a bit more. This way you can also include the Red Temple as tours either give Red Temple but then you miss Golden Triangle and White temple or you get white and blue temples but miss Red Temple.

Disappointing booking experience - Bad experience with local agency Oh-Hoo booked by booking. At the start: the guide who greeted us wore a t-shirt that said "I Hate people". We were given brief and expeditious explanations at the entrance of each site, without any accompaniment during the visits. Then the van that drove us for 8 hours round trip was worn out, it ran out of shock absorbers and the seats were uncomfortable. We felt like we went through a checker at the end of the day with a back pain that lasted several days .. The meal was good and the sights were amazing, but the Golden Triangle boat tour is not worth the visit: 30 minutes walking in circles on the water without seeing anything exceptional.

Disappointing experience - Bad experience to start with: the van that drove us 8 hours there and back was worn, it no longer had shock absorbers, and the seats were uncomfortable. We felt like we'd been through a checker at the end of the day (back pain). Then the guide greeted us with a t-shirt that said "I HATE people." We were treated to brief and hasty explanations at the entrance to each site, with no escort during the visits. The meal was good. The meal was good and the sites were incredible, but the boat tour of the Golden Triangle is not worth the detour; 30 minutes of driving around in circles on the water without seeing anything exceptional.
