• Pallay Punchu Rainbow Mountain - This captivating journey begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel. The adventure includes a two-and-a-half-hour drive to Cusipata for a refreshing breakfast. The journey continues by road towards Sicuani, where you can admire the expansive blue lagoon of Langui in the distance, stretching over 15 km. The route passes close to its shores before reaching the starting point in Layo.

Upon arrival, a challenging uphill hike of approximately two hours awaits. The trail is surrounded by grasslands and striking reddish soils, accompanied by the area’s typical wildlife: alpacas, llamas, and, if fortunate, sightings of kestrels, peregrine falcons, or the renowned condor soaring above. Upon reaching Pallay Punchu del Apu Taqllo, which translates from Quechua as “woven poncho,” you can climb the ridges and experience the sensation of flying over the surface of another planet.
