Enjoyable family trip - We were picked up on time and taken to boat. Before boarding we were asked(not forced as others have suggested) not to take drinks on board. Our children loved the foam party out at sea and the stop that allowed them to swim in the sea or the river. Lunch was adequate. We paid the optional €5 each to see the waterfalls,, but if you prefer you can give them a miss and spend longer at the market. Overal we thought it was enjoyable and good value for money (we paid £70 for 2 adults and 2 children through Tripadvisor). Tipping was optional.

Side, a nice piece of Turkish. - Fantastic, beautiful piece of Türkiye. We didn't expect Turkish to be so beautiful. The Greek atmosphere is definitely here.

More than value for money - Complete day. Everything well taken care of. Lovely trip on the boat. Plenty of choice in terms of location; lie or sit spots in sun or shade. Lots of entertainment (not necessarily necessary for us), Even time to swim. Prima lunch. Beautiful waterfall and finally strolling around the market. In short, more than complete well-groomed day where you will also be picked up and returned to your hotel by nice people.

You can hurt yourself! - Pick-up directly from the hotel by airy, open bus. The boat trip is by pirate ship through beautiful countryside to the mouth of the sea. Afterwards there is edible lunch and bathing facilities. Back to the jetty and off to the bazaar, where you have plenty of time to shop.

- £35 pp. First stop of coach a luxury jewellery shop we didn't ask to go to. Prices were in the tens of thousands of euro? Then taken to boat . Drinks were expensive, staff miserable. Taken to a beach didn't know about and harassed by sellers to buy fake perfumes and rent jet ski's. Also had to pay to sit. Then taken to indoor fake market and told it was the place to buy best quality fakes. Not true. But did have air-conditioning. Then went to a bazaar, boiling hot and many of traders were rude. Eventually taken to the waterfalls , also surrounded by stalls selling stuff but only allowed 15 minutes before rushed back on coach. We were in Side and could have gone to the markets , waterfalls ourselves but was advised to go on the excursion by loveholidays rep. Everyone is obviously working on back handers. You live and learn .

Very poor - A very disappointing trip for several reasons. Firstly the van which came to collect us from our hotel was in poor condition, with two seats which were damaged and air conditioning which did little to counter the 36 degree heat. Secondly the van was overcrowded, probably because the tour providers were trying to maximise every penny of profit they could. Then there were a couple of instances which left a very sour taste in the mouth. We knew that entrance to the Waterfall was extra (and Google suggested that this would be 5 TL. However, right at the start of the boat trip we were told to pay 5 Euros or we would not even be taken to the entrance of the waterfall. Basically it seems like a way to keep the headline price of the trip down and then effectively hold people to ransom. The second instance was that, just as we were about to board the ship we were told to leave behind all drinks. Bearing in mind that the advert had said no drinks were included in the price we had made our own provisions. However we had to remove all drinks from our bags so that we would be FORCED to buy the overpriced drinks on board (small ice creams costing 4 Euros, small bottles of water costing 1 euro). Other issues with the boat trip were the very poor standard of English spoken by the staff. If an excursion is advertised as “English” then the staff should be required to speak a certain level of English. It was extremely difficult to understand what they were saying. I would say that lunch was adequate, a dried piece of chicken with some salad and bulgur rice (drinks extra). To finish off the river cruise the icing on the cake was a member of the crew walking round with the tip jar making tipping compulsory. On the plus side the cruise and the waterfall are both very scenic. However I found the market to be extremely overpriced and only worth it if you enjoy haggling.
