Day trip to Pamukkale in April 2025 - My partner and I went on a day trip from Side to Pamukkale in April 2025 and it was one of the most memorable parts of our holiday in Turkey. It’s quite a long journey (around four hours each way), there were regular stops for rest breaks, so the time passed quickly. The views along the way were also magnificent, giving us a glimpse of the Turkish countryside. Pamukkale itself was absolutely stunning. The white travertine terraces were unlike anything we’d seen before truly breathtaking. Walking barefoot through the warm, mineral-rich pools was a unique experience, and we loved every minute of it. The Cleopatra’s Pool was under renovation so we weren't able to visit this site. Walking in the thermal water is something we won’t forget anytime soon. We also explored the ruins of Hierapolis, right next to the terraces. The amphitheatre was particularly impressive, and it was fascinating to learn a bit about the ancient city while taking in the views. Bring a towel and wear shoes that are easy to slip on and off as you’ll need to go barefoot on the terraces. Don’t forget sunscreen, a hat, and water it can get quite hot. Overall it was a well organised and thoroughly enjoyable day. If you're staying in Side and have the chance, definitely make time for Pamukkale and it’s well worth the journey. Eric the tour operator confirmed our booking on WhatsApp with all the itinerary details. I would highly recommend visiting Pamukkale if you are visiting Turkey.

Good tour. Highly recommended - I am very satisfied with the tour. A taxi picked us up from Manavgat, which is approximately an hour from Antalya, and then transferred us to a minibus. From there, we drove to Pamukkale. We were astounded by the white, stone-terraced formations and also the historical, ancient theater. We also visited Cleopatra Pool. Overall, we had a wonderful day, and I highly recommend this tour. However, I suggest that the duration of the visit should be extended from three hours to four hours to allow for more time to explore the area.

Great service. - Eric handled our booking really well, he let us know the exact time we were getting picked up and told me what to do with regards to tickets which was helpful seen as it was an early start. The driver was also very good, going above and beyond to get us home.

Amazing Sunrise Hot Air Balloon Experience - Great experience. Transfers were comfortable and high-end. The sunrise balloon was stunning and a very good price. Some amazing photos from the flight. Only slight downside was the Onyx museum we were taken to which did not really have much of a tour/was mostly just to buy their products but this was fine considering the great value of the trip. Included buffet lunch was also great. Pammukale is a lovely spot and the Cleopatra bath’s are also a very nice temperature and the ruins that you swim above are a spectacle in and of themselves.

Honest review! It was mid! - The experience of Pamukkale and the site itself was lovely however the transit day was extremely uncomfortable as well as slightly dangerous. Our private transport picked us up from our hotel at 2:50 am and I have to say I feared for my life in the vehicle as the driver was driving extremely fast and dangerous. There was also another party on the transport who also felt the same, when we were looking for safety i.e. seatbelts they were not accessible which also made me even more fearful. After that initial drive we were then transferred onto another bus/vehicle which was extremely cramped and did not provide the best legroom. on our journey back as mentioned in the description of what is included with that the vehicle had full AC, but that was not the experience, the vehicle was very humid and there was quite a few of us on the vehicle. The return drive from Pamukkale was okay, there was a few moments where The driver was driving fast. We were was also charged 1300 Turkish lira for entry into the site which I feel should be included in the description of the tour specifically the price and also accessibility to using a card reader as sometimes someone who is a tourist doesn’t necessarily feel comfortable carrying cash. I Was also slightly disappointed that the Cleopatra thermal baths was closed for renovations and we were only told on the tour by the guide which I wish was disclosed to us beforehand as that was something I was looking forward to experiencing. Overall Pamukkale was lovely but I definitely feel that the tour needs some improvement.

Average experience - Pamukkale is beautiful and well worth the visit but there’s limited activities and no need to spend 3 hours there. The tour is also much longer than stated. Travelling from Side: you should expect to allow more than 16 hours and is more suited for people who prefer minimal guiding from their tour operator. The entrance to Heriapolis: where everything is situated is €30 extra on top of the tour- excluding Hot Springs entrance. Food provision: breakfast and lunch consisting of bread and mostly salad, cucumber/ tomato varieties but some warm food like rice and chicken is available for lunch. However there will be options to purchase other food if that’s not up to your liking. Other: We stopped at a local winery and had a free wine tasting on our way there. It was nice but the breaks were too long and had a lot of waiting around doing nothing.

A Terrible Experience - Left Stranded and Out of Pocket - I had an incredibly disappointing experience with this tour operator. I had booked and paid for a tour on April 27th, scheduled for pick-up at 4 am on April 28th. Later that day, without my knowledge, the operator supposedly sent a message via TripAdvisor changing the pick-up time to 3:15 am. It was my birthday, and I was out celebrating, so I didn't see the message. To my shock, a driver showed up at 3 am on the 28th. The front desk called my villa to inform us of the early pick-up. We rushed to get ready and hurried to meet the driver, yet when we arrived at 3:25 am, we were already left behind. We contacted the tour operator, but they refused to send the driver back or issue a refund. TripAdvisor also declined to refund me, citing the same message from the operator. The whole situation felt like a scam, as they had to know I wasn't aware of the change. This left us confused, stranded, and disappointed. I would strongly advise anyone considering this tour operator to look elsewhere, as their lack of communication and refusal to take responsibility ruined our plans. I give this experience a 1-star rating, and even that feels generous. Avoid this operator if you value your money and peace of mind.
