Sigiriya: The Ancient Rock Fortress - The remnants of the capital built by King Kassapa I (477–95) are located on the steep slopes and at the top of a granite peak, standing approximately 180 meters high. Known as the ‘Lion’s Rock’, it dominates the surrounding jungle. A series of galleries and staircases, emerging from the mouth of a massive lion made of bricks and plaster, provide access to the site.
Sigiriya to Kandy
Sigiriya Craft Village - Begin the day with a traditional village tour, offering insights into rural life in Sri Lanka. This small-group tour includes visits to paddy fields, a bullock cart ride, a boat ride, learning about the traditional agriculture method known as chena, and a cooking demonstration, followed by an included lunch. The tour concludes with a Tuk Tuk ride back.

Bahirawakanda - The temple on Bahirawakanda hill, called the Sri Maha Bodhi Viharaya, is famous for its giant Buddha statue, visible from almost any point in Kandy. Built in 1972, the statue depicts Lord Buddha in the Nirvana pose, associated with his first Enlightenment. Standing over 25 meters tall, it is one of the tallest Buddha statues in Sri Lanka.
