• Thalkote Lake View Point Sigiriya - This will be one of the photo stops during the initial part of the ride. Here, visitors can enjoy the best view of the historic Sigiriya and Pidurangala rocks. Refreshments will be provided by the cycling team before continuing the village cycling adventure.
• Sigiriya - The ride will pass by the Sigiriya moat and through forest patches where birds and wildlife may be spotted. Riders will have the opportunity to capture stunning photos from various angles of Sigiriya rock. (Please note, entry to the Sigiriya archaeological site is not included)
• Sigiriya - The journey will take participants into the genuine local farming area to experience the authentic daily life of the people. The ride will pass by rice paddies, farming lands such as sweet potato plantations, finger millet fields, and seasonal fruit plants. A stop at a farmhouse will offer a chance to experience the warm hospitality of the villagers. The cycle guide will assist with translation to communicate with the farmers. The ride will continue along an irrigation canal, with stops at some beautiful lakes and landscapes.
