Highlight in Sigiriya - I can only agree with the previous reviews, it was really an all around great experience. Kumara has a great private garden with a large kitchenette where we cooked typical dishes in a group. He and his family are super pleasant and involve everyone in the cooking activities. At the end there is a delicious meal together. I also recommended it from a friend and would recommend it 100%. It was a lot of fun and was very special!

Excellent cooking class - This was an excellent cooking class. We learnt about many spices, vegetables and fruits. All are home grown from the garden. The class was informative and very enjoyable. The food was delicious and we received recipes for every dish and more. We look forwarded to cooking Sri Lankan food at home. Thank you Kumara and your family

Amazing cooking experience - Had the cooking class on the 5th of april. Was a great experience. First they told us about everything they grow in their garden. Then we started cooking with the family! And at the end of course eating it all or at least tried eating it all. It was really good, would recommend to go. Best to contact them directly easiest way to book.

Unforgettable experience - We had a great, hands-on cooking class experience here and it was one of our trip highlights in Sigiriya.
Kumara and his family were awesome; all of the ingredients are organic and many grown by the family. Instructions were easy to follow and interactive; our end product was delicious and healthy.
Definitely recommend coming here for an unforgettable Sri Lanka trip highlight.

Delicious food great teacher - A really wonderful experience. Kumara and his family were incredibly accomodating to us (our driver canceled last minute so we were 20 minutes late) and we learnt so much. Its a really nice and inclusive atmosphere. We cooked in an open room in the middle of a storm which was incredible to experience. If you are passionate about authentic cultural experiences that directly benefit locals then this cooking class is a must do. And the food is amazing too!

Authentic, informative and fun - a real highlight of our trip in Sigiriya! - This cooking class was such a highlight of our trip in Sigiriya. Kumara and his family opened their home to us and provided us with an authentic cooking experience that was intentional and informative as well as lots of fun! The description of organic is completely accurate - the produce is grown on the land and then brought straight to the table for cooking. The food was delicious and we enjoyed that we even cooked a dessert as a final treat at the end of the meal. Kumara and his family are locals who run this cooking class out of their home and we were so touched by their kindness and to have learnt from them - can’t recommend this class enough!

Authentic and joyous - The cooking class was fantastic and the food was so delicious - possibly the best food I’ve had in Sri Lanka. Kumara and family are truly lovely people who shared their knowledge with much laughter and joy. I thoroughly recommend.

Amazing experience! - We had a wonderful time at this cooking workshop. It was both fun and very educational. The family was incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived.
The food was absolutely delicious, and we really appreciated the opportunity to learn more about the local culture through cooking. Everything was explained with great enthusiasm and patience, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
Highly recommended for anyone who wants to learn about authentic cuisine in a warm and friendly atmosphere!

Messed around and still no refund - Was really looking forward to this class based on all the reviews sadly I was messed around multiple times times and still haven’t received a refund. The morning of the class (I booked the 6pm slot), I was told it has moved to 3pm due to elephants damaging some of their vehicles. An hour later it was then moved to 4pm. And hour before it was meant to start I had a message to stay it was now cancelled because they were in court. I was told to cancel the booking in which I had to pay the full ticket amount as a cancellation fee. When asking for my refund they said ‘i don’t no how it work’. Still waiting for my refund.
