Quinta Do Frances Winery - Situated north of Portimão, within the Silves county. This exclusive wine farm is the northernmost in the region, located at the foothills of the Monchique Mountains. It is owned by a Portuguese-French couple who met in Bordeaux, where he was born and raised amidst the wine culture. They relocated to the region at the start of the century to embark on this project from scratch. Nestled on the slopes of the Odelouca River Valley, they planted their vineyard and constructed a small but well-equipped winery, which includes a tasting room, barrel room, and laboratory.

Villa Alvor - Positioned on the northern border of Portimão and Alvor. Overlooked by the imposing Monchique mountain, this expansive property also features cork tree groves, wheat fields, and orange orchards. Owned by the same family since 1865 and long-time grape producers, the farm established their modern winery in 1999 and were pioneers in producing certified designation of origin wines in the Algarve. The family estate’s tradition is evident in the esplanade, shop, and oak barrels.
